Great Update of the 2014 Set!

Solid X-Jet update and return to the X-Men theme since 2014. Price is a bit steep, and could have done with an extra minifig for the price - or include a sentinel build like the 2014 set. But still a great building experience, and a fantastic looking set once complete.

Great Build! Transparent pieces should be safer

I really enjoyed this build specially as I watched the new X-men 97 show. My only gripes are the price which is way too high and the transparent piece for the cockpit was scratched by other Lego bricks in the same bag. I placed an order for a replacement. I hope that moving forward Lego will separate transparent pieces from other pieces in the package.

This is my favorite comic team and comics. I now have the older version and this new version. The plane is more detailed and a bit bigger. I will buy anything marvel - X-Men

The jet looks great. Big upgrade from the original. I hope we continue to receive more from the x-men 97 series. I want it all.
The price is steep for what you get though. A couple more minifigures would of set the value right.

This set deserves some defense

If you grew up on X-men and are on the fence, you should buy this set. Like most reviewers, I tend to agree with the cost per piece ratio and felt like this set was way overpriced based on those stats. I bought it and am happy I did. The reality is there are a ton of pieces that are either oversized or unique and justify the cost. There's a significant difference between a 1x1 stud and a large hull piece.
Also... all those folks review bombing this set, didn't buy the set. So call me crazy but they aren't my first choice for a reviewer.

Good set but very narrow

Very nice set, but I was really hoping for more space to play. I know it's a jet, but it would have had room for a couple more places, I see it as a bit narrow. Lego has spoiled us so much with large Marvel sets like the Quinjet or the Benatar and this is somewhat disappointing :(
