Beyond disappointing

The (over)price of this set is so egregious that someone should surely be fired at Lego. I completely understand inflation, etc, but this makes it seem like Lego feels their consumers are idiots. Never more disappointed with the brand in my 40 year history as a collector.

Lost Potential

The Wolverine is a complete downgrade from the CMF series. No dual mold, no arm print and leg print just looks off...but it comes in a super expensive set?! Rogue: thank you for her. Cyclops:ok, fine. Magneto: don't get me started lol The jet was an easy build and just left you wanting more...did I buy two, yes. I wasn't happy about it BUT i still needed it in my collection only if to point out where so much potential was lost in a great set.

Ridiculous Price but Tons of Fun

Not reinventing the wheel here. The price is way too high. Waaayyy too high...The quality of paint/color on the minifigure legs of Wolverine and Rogue are a bit disappointing as well as the yellow is faintly added over their blue and green legs, respectively. Also, where are Cyclops' yellow boots?
As for the X-Jet itself, what a fun build! I can't remember enjoying a build this much in a long time. I love the look and 4 passenger capability (it reminds me of the SnowSpeeders from Star Wars, my favorite sets of all time).
It is perfectly reasonable for the set to have a low rating. I hope this is not indicative of future costs...But if you can somehow ignore the cost (I am just pretending was cheaper), it really is a special Jet.
I would recommend this to a friend!

great 90's style build

Overall this set is great. The instructions can be hard to see when you work on the dark blue with black outlines. Not a fan of the look of Magneto but the others all look great. I hope we see more X-men sets
