Great little saw!!

Works great. I had a plug in electric before that burned out, so was hesitant to try a battery powered one, but was glad I did. This has lots of power for cutting up good size branches, etc. I have a B&D drill that takes a similar battery so I have a spare.
My only minor concern is that I am having trouble finding a spare chain and bar for it, that can be shipped to Canada for less than an arm and leg!

Bought this two years ago. Works great. Cut four small but tall trees down in my backyard. Am 58 year old but quite able woman who enjoys Challenging yard work.

I think this 20V MAX* Lithium 10 in. Chainsaw is really nice. It was easy to use. It did a good job cutting down some trees around my house. It is not too heavy. I liked it, and I would recommend this product.

Good little saw

Got this about a month ago. Used one charged 20 volt battery while the 20V max charged. Had to switch out but still made the job so much easier. No problem cutting through several 6 inch limbs and then cutting them done to a size form them to be hauled off and for fire wood.

I bought this to trim tree limbs from 20 year old pines and had doubts about its ability. On the 20v battery I run other tools from, it did an amazingly easy job of trimming good size branches.

Great saw but B+D needs to fix the oiling problem
on February 4, 2018

I got this saw as a replacement for a 40V LC1240 which leaked oil over everything except the chain. This model has the opposite problem. The manual oiler does not work on many of these saws. I bought two of them, and by switching the oil cap/pump from one onto the other saw, I got one which worked (and took the other one back). it does not put out much oil, but probably enough to oil the chain.
The trick is to press and HOLD the pump cap for several seconds. This seems to work much better than rapid pumping which moves the oil back and forth.
The saw works well, given its size. I use the 4Ah batteries and get reasonable run times, and with a sharp chain, it cuts up to 8" pine logs with no problem. I would prefer the 1240, but this one does OK. And it takes the same batteries
So when is B+D going to fix the oiling problem? They have been selling both the 40v and 20v saws for years and they know about the problems. Don't they have one engineer competent enough to fix this simple problem?
If not for the oiling issues, I would give this saw a 5 star rating.

Not Happy

Recently purchased based on previous B & D experience. I have been using chain saws for over 40 years from professional grade to homeowner grade and including battery powered pole saws. This one seems little more than a toy. The chain adjustment doesn't seem to stay adjusted for more than a few minutes and the chain has a tendency to jump off the bar. Also the chain does not run smoothly and tends to chatter when cutting (unlike any other chainsaw I have used).

BIG disappointment

I bought this chainsaw a couple of weeks ago hoping to use it for cutting some firewood for this season. The power is weak, and the battery discharges within 20-30 minutes of using it. It’s making what should have been a simple, relatively short task, MUCH more complicated as I have to do it in very short shifts while I constantly wait for the recharging to complete. Not happy.
