Positives of this product are that the color and picture clarity is good. Easy to install, connects to both monitor and phone app.
Negatives of this product is that video relay to screen is a little delayed and the wide angle distortion starts to far from the camera for our needs.

I bought this about 2 weeks ago to replace a NightOwl system that was several years old and the cameras stopped working. 6 cameras are nice and the added feature of adding 4 wireless cameras is a nice plus. The new cameras have one drawback, namely they are hard to position; they do not have the mobility of the previous cameras. In order to get an upright video I needed to create several wooden bases in order for camera to point in the correct direction. The images are great at 1080. The verbal command (optional) is poor quality--a very scratchy "Smile, you're being recorded"; difficult to understand. The remote viewing app for my phone and ipad works well once you get used to it. I had some trouble getting it to work. It occasionally lost connection and I needed to log out then log back in, but overall it works well. I like the new, improved software for identifying saved clips and playing them back. This works better on phone/ipad than on the DVD from my monitor. Overall a very good system and much improved over my previous NightOwl system. I was able to use my existing BNC cable which made installation much easier.

Worked decent at first

I bought this system and installed it in July of 2022. In November of 2022 the two cameras mounted at my entrances stopped recording any events. These are the two in the system you can speak through. Another of the cameras infrared light no longer works. I've done the recommend updates to the firmware for both cameras not recording and nothing has changed. The cameras that are still working, work fine Very disappointed especially with the amount of money spent on this. The app is useless if you are away from your home, good luck trying to play any videos back or even seeing a live feed of your cameras.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

NOT A GOOD UPGRADE

I upgraded this system from c20x version because of the audio aspect. I thought you would be able to export all 8 hours(for example) to a usb drive like the c20x version.. NOPE Its only by events. You cant even select multiple events at a time. Its just one at a time. THIS IS A HUGE SOFTWARE FLAW! FIX THIS!

Amazing features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had just moved into a new house and a new to us neighborhood where we don’t know our neighbors well or what goes on around here especially when we aren’t home. My husband and I decided to hook up this security system with 4 cameras. It was easy to install and easy to download onto our phones. It is easy to set up from your mobile device. I like that it has a 2 way radio for you to listen or talk. I also like the spotlight feature and that the video is in full color. Another good feature is that you get voice alerts or you can send out a warning to unwanted guests. Everything is nice and convenient and we feel a lot safer knowing who is on or near our property. I definitely recommend this product to others.

The DVR is working great. Only have one negative comment. The unit supports 10 cameras. I am using 6. I cannot find a way to disable the other 4 unused cameras and they fill one third of the TV screen with unused blank camera spaces. Other than that a good security system.

I purchased this product, it does not record, the box says it does but I’m being told not I have to buy a hard drive or another Dvr with built in recording, why is it called a Dvr if it doesn’t record

This is a DVR with customizable storage. The box details that a HDD is sold separately. A hard drive is not included with this particular model, which gives the customer the opportunity to customize it based on their recording needs and/or install their own existing hard drive.
