S.C. - I have been using/troubleshooting the heck out of this syste
on July 7, 2023

I have been using/troubleshooting the heck out of this system for a couple of weeks now and it has blown away all expectations. Let me do a bit of a breakdown to give more specific feedback.

Performance:

The listed FPS for this system on the website is actually lower than what I've been running/experiencing--this build is an absolute monster. The recommended settings for this rig with games like WoW and Warframe is typically a blanket 'High' across the board but I've easily been able to run both on Ultra easily without any sacrifice to performance--and I'm not talking about in select, single player sandbox instances/areas where there wouldn't be push back. I'm also doing some heavy duty rendering/modeling and I can actually run animations and sequences like a hot knife through butter... which sort of blows my mind.

-I was in a full raid group in WoW (Nyalotha) and I didn't see so much as a small road bump in performance.

-I was running an intense Rail Jack in warframe, absolutely intense (both gameplay-wise and bandwidth intensive) and I saw absolutely no issues with performance on Ultra.

-Was running a series of pretty bandwidth-intensive sequences in Blender (multiple, custom add-in's as well) with pretty complicated rendering steps and I didn't see so much as a hiccup. I was so impressed that I showed it to my buddy who does graphic rendering professionally and he is now considering purchasing this for work--versus paying almost x3 as much for another build he found on Amazon that would essentially give him half the performance. I showed him everything I was doing in Blender, showed him the price tag, and he was absolutely floored.

Now look, not to say I wouldn't see diminishing returns after hours and hours of pushing the limits of the FPS this build was meant for, and I'm not recommending everyone do this, but the fact is I'm absolutely blown away with how well it handles me pushing the limits HARD right out the gate.

Cooling:

I'm in Texas--enough said. We had a day where it was 115 degrees (RealFeel was 121), and while the unit in our house was having trouble keeping up, the cooling in this system absolutely did not. Not only was this thing not having any trouble maintaining a cooler environment, but it was legitimately cool--not warm, not room temperature--cool as a cucumber.

Sound:

Extremely quiet. You can hear it, you know it's on, but my gosh is this sucker stealthy. Considering how effectively this system cools, I'm surprised it doesn't sound like a B52 bomber flying through my home when it's turned on. It is very, very quiet.

Accessories:

This came with a keyboard and mouse that I've been using pretty much religiously and I'm quite happy with both. Well happy doesn't quite give it enough credit, I'm pretty darn impressed:

-The mouse is solid as all get up with great hotkeys and it feels very ergonomic--didn't even use a mouse pad for the first few days and the movement was great.

-The feedback from the keyboard is fantastic, I had actually been wanting a more mechanical keyboard like this for quite some time but these sort of keyboards have a fairly steep price tag. The fact that I got one for no extra cost, the fact that it's just included with the system, is incredible.

I had no idea this build came with a keyboard and mouse, let alone ones like these, and I can't tell you how cool a surprise this was. These are not 'entry level' accessories, this is a legitimate keyboard and mouse. I thought I was just getting a good deal with the price for the build, considering what came with it? I feel like I made out like a bandit.

Upgrade path/part mobility:

One of the bigger reasons I wanted this system specifically was because there's a real ability for movement here/upgrade path if I wanted to change out or upgrade parts. The system is built with a very open plan and while I would recommend consulting someone if you've never built a system before/upgraded parts directly, it is very nice to have a build like this--not just because it gives you control over your own system but also because this is very budget friendly. Most people can't afford to replace their computer/system every few years... but replacing a graphics card or some gaming memory once in a blue moon is vastly more affordable and realistic for your average person. That being stated, with the insane spec's for this build, I'm not going to have to replace/upgrade anything anytime soon. Side note, whoever physically built the system did a fantastic job, the cable management is absolutely on point, it's clean as heck and looks absolutely great--give that person a raise.

I was extremely nervous about getting a custom build done online, but Skytech not only delivered on their promises--they knocked it out of the park. My expectations have not only been met they've been obliterated in the best possible way. I'll follow up on my review in a few months and let everyone know if something changes, but at this point I am extremely satisfied and happy that I went through Skytech for this.

Great PC! Haven't played any hardcore games yet but in runs everything so smoothly. I was wondering if the ram used was any specific brand? I'm looking to get a little more and i'd rather them be the same brand, and i'm to lazy to open it up and check myself lol. Thanks for the great PC though
