Air conditioner controls stopped working after 44 days. Will just randomly turn off. Remote only allows partial control of settings.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Supposed to be quiet, but it's very Noisy

This 10,000 BTU window a/c unit is smaller & lighter than the previous GE profile a/c of the same capacity. Which is nice. However it's supposed to be quiet. This thing is very noisy! Noisier than the previous one. The previous GE Profile a/c lasted about a year and a half. Past the warranty period of course. I hope this one lasts longer.
I wanted an inverter to save power. Power consumption is about the same as the previous model, about .5kW. With the record breaking heat I need the ac for work,
The remote control is nicer than previous model with an LED screen.
If it weren't so noisy, I'd give it 5 stars.
Almost tempted to take it back, but I couldn't find any other 10,000 BTU units with inverters.

Just as advertised: QUIET & cools efficiently for a 450 sq. ft. space during the current heat wave in NYC with >90 degree outdoor temperatures.
Will not know savings on electricity cost until I get a monthly bill from one of the most expensive suppliers, Con Edison.

Well this is a replacement under warranty for the first one I bought on 06-24-24. I know you can get a lemon in anything so we’ll see how long this one last and review again.

Decible specs WAYYY off!

This unit is SO LOUD. Specs say "low/cool" setting is 45dBA. My in home decibel meter has that setting at 71!!! We are looking to replace it, the sound is simply untenable. Very upset with the misinformation.

We'd like to assist you with your air conditioner. The sound level for this unit is low/high 57/61 dBA (moderate) and quiet mode/low cool 43 dBA (soft). What sounds “quiet” and what sounds “loud” is very subjective and can vary widely from one consumer to the next. We sometimes receive consumer feedback on the same air conditioner model where one says it is quiet and another says it is loud.
