Full review the only one you’ll need.

These were shown to me on a rafting trip. I’ve recently acquired a cataraft and have purchased a crap ton of these straps. The buckle is bombproof. It allows you to lock the buckle in place or be free to move like a traditional NRS cam. The buckle is substantial and has a quality “feel”. Love it. The downside…..#1 there is a learning curve. So you can’t just throw one to an inebriated guy in the parking lot and expect him to know how to use it. #2 the path through the clamping mechanism is tight, if you accidentally pull a twist through it jams it locked. The polypropylene webbing fraying mentioned in other reviews seems to be overstated and caused mostly by misuse. If you don’t secure your strap ends they will flap apart at 75mph. Strap seems fine.
So for strapping boats to a roof in a crowded takeout parking lot, I use a couple tried and true NRS straps (KISS). Me rigging my raft, or loading boats for a trip; the quality and versatility of the straps make them my choice.

Never bought a harder-to-use cam. This is tough to start and even tougher to undo. Pass. Returning if I can.

Overly complex and frayed

This is way more awkward to use than any other strap I’ve ever come across. Unnecessarily over designed and not worth the fuss. I threw it away to keep me from grabbing it out of my bag of straps. Save your money.

Overcomplicates a simple device

On the surface, nice fit and finsh, but it's hard to load the strap properly quickly. If you load the strap incorrectly it is easy to actually open the cam instead of tightening it. Strap is cheap and frays quickly.

Started fraying on first use

I really should have read the reviews before I bought these. They looked sturdy and I didn't mind paying more for quality straps.
Used them for the first time yesterday to tie down my kayak and they are both already fraying ... don't think they'll last the summer. Was expecting better quality for the price.

I have tried several creative tie downs, weaving the strap in the buckle. Every time the strap slips. Sometimes more than other but always slips. Not good for use on a heavy appliance like a stove or fridge and a hand truck.
