Our friends have a Sodastream that we thoroughly enjoyed on our last visit, so we decided to buy one. After researching the different types, we settled on the E-Duo. This machine could not be easier to use! Just insert your bottle, lock it in and push a button. With light, medium and strong selections of carbonation, it makes the perfect type of water. We have used ours nonstop for the past couple of weeks and recently signed up for the cylinder subscription service. For what our tastes are, this machine is perfect!

The hidden fees with this company are really upsetting. The irony is that if SodaStream was simply upfront about them I'd have no problem paying them. After my last CO2 canister runs out I will be switching to a competitor, most likely Aarke.

love soda stream

since my penguin soda stream was no longer available, I opted to replace it with the Duo. You must plug it into a wall outlet to apply the gas and it requires a quick connect co2 canister rather than the older cos screw on canister. It offers 3 gas pressure choices via a push button choice. Easy to use. Comes with one plastic and 1 glass carafe, but not comparable with my old penguin glass carafes nor the co2 canisters. So, works well, seems a waste to lose use of my old carafes and canisters, but the design team made choices. I still decided to buy the new design because I do love soda stream as compared to buying plastic bottles of seltzer water.

Glass is Greattt!

The glass bottle is great and the machine works really cool. Was using plastic bottles with sodastream for over 10 years and searched other vendors for glass bottle machines. Finally sodastream created the best on the market. It seems to capture and keep more fizz.

But I’m older and live alone and can’t use a canister in the allotted time frame so I’ll have to pay extra which negates the savings I anticipated

Easy to use but not for big hand

One touch to pump is very easy to use vs traditional version. I really like the glass carafe to pair with this machine. The only downside is the button is too sensitive to touch. Sometimes I pressed the button but the lid is still open. This is because pump buttons are too close to lid.
