In just a few minutes she has a perfect alternative to suit her carbonation craving with a healthier carbonated flavor water.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This SodaStream is very attractive. And it is super easy to use. The CO2 snaps in and it's ready to go. All you have to do is push down and turn the lever to lock it. And it's basically one push of a button. There are 3 levels of carbonation. So you push whichever you want. And that's it.

Great alternative to single-use bottles!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The SodaStream E-Duo replaced our old off-brand system that worked off individual CO2 containers and was really costly over time. We immediately saw the value of the kit. It came with two 1-L containers and a CO2 cartridge that is very large, which of course lasts a long time. The raspberry drink concentrate was not pleasant for me, but it may be something berry lovers like more than I did. Set up was mostly straight forward, but you'll definitely need to reference the install guide to find out where the power cord goes. Once we got everything situated, it's been smooth sailing ever since. It's a bit taller than I expected (approximately 18"), especially since the top portion of the unit goes up when putting in/removing the 1 liter bottle so this may not fit underneath your kitchen cupboards. Other than those mild complaints, the unit has worked flawlessly and looks pretty nice. It provides 3 levels of carbonation. We typically use the 3 bubble setting for making cola drinks and the two bubble setting for seltzer water. The 1 bubble setting is a bit lackluster for us, but we have a very robust bubble tolerance. Any of these settings take about 15 seconds between securing the bottle in the system to refreshing seltzer. Overall, this is a great option for homemade soda lovers, especially since SodaStream has partnered with main brand sodas to make officially licensed drink concentrates. My significant other has VERY discerning palette, and it passes her taste test. The convenience of rocket thruster sized CO2 cartridge also makes it very easy to make a bunch of seltzer at the press of a button. We also love that its better for the environment in the fact that you're not using single use bottles.

I owned one of the first SodaStream and let me tell you, they have come a long ways! I love all the different flavors you can get now and also, always being able to have sparkling water whenever I want.

Difficult to set up, but functional in the end

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unboxing and setup: fairly easy unboxing. Not many parts or secondary boxes to open. The setup though was cumbersome. I wish the instructions was a smaller, single language pamphlet or card. Instead they’re a multi-page booklet with set up instructions spread across several pages. So while having to flip the machine over (power wire attaches underneath) or popping open the back to install the CO2 canisters, you also have to manage keeping this instruction booklet open to the right page or flipping back to where you left off when you let go of it. This is probably the most “difficult” part of the machine besides trying to open the plastic wrapping on the CO2 canister.
Use: it’s straightforward to use and after my frustration with the booklet during setup up, I just winged my way through my first use. I’ve used a friend’s Soda Stream before, so I know the basics. And this machine is just as basic with a couple upgrades. Here, the bottle sits in a fancy cradle. You have to manually push down a top and then lock the top in place. Finally, you choose one of three carbonation settings, and it does its thing. That’s it. It makes carbonated water.
Overall: After having used it for the past week, not sure the benefits of it being an e-duo. Having preselected carbonation levels doesn’t really save time over a normal Soda Stream. Having to push down and lock the top adds enough extra effort that it’s mildly annoying. And I’m not sure the point of having one plastic and one glass bottle. I only use the glass bottle and the plastic one is still in the box. If you’re thinking of getting this or a basic Soda Stream. Save your money and buy some more water flavoring instead of getting this “nicer” version.
