[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far this is a pretty solid computer. It has plenty of ports, ram, and storage. In addition it has a solid metal connection from the screen to the keyboard.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Smooth, fast laptop. awesome for productivity with the extra cores and ram. will be uprading the laptop later in the future with more storage if possible.
I've only had my new ThinkBook for a month, and haven't explored all of the features yet. It is much faster than my 9-year-old 15" IdeaPad and came with a huge amount of storage. It didn't come with a lot of bloatware. I like that it is smaller and lighter than my old tablet and should travel well, even with a 15" screen. The number and variety of ports is great. The backlighting on the keyboard is nice, shining through the letters clearly. The keyboard is comfortable, although I preferred the inverted T arrow keys on the old one to the half-height up and down arrows. The fingerprint reader is great, but doesn't always work for me. This is probably because I do a lot of gardening and my fingertips take a beating. Windows 11 is okay, but I'm still learning where things are. My main problem with this laptop (and the reason for 4 stars) is that the touchpad can be twitchy. I use the two-finger scrolling much of the time. Unfortunately I trigger the right click frequently when scrolling, which is annoying. Once in a while, when I'm trying to drag and drop a file or do something similar, the cursor or file icon will start jumping around the screen. Maybe I've touched the pad with another finger? In any case I will struggle to get the file moved where I want it, not randomly dropped somewhere. Except for the touchpad problems, this has been a great purchase so far.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The laptop arrived a week earlier than expected, which is great is this environment. Product was well packaged and in perfect condition. The computer runs flawlessly with a great keyboard and crisp screen. A great choice for home use. I am very satisfied.
I was very disappointed with the Thinkbook 15. Right out of the box and it would not connect to the Wi-Fi. After an hour on the phone with support, it was determined that I should return and get a replacement. Second Thinkbook 15 same problem! It was suggested that I needed to download a driver or something to enable it to receive Wi-Fi from my provider comcast. This did not work, it was determined that i should return and get a replacement. No thank you! Enough is Enough. Went out and got an HP and never been happer!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
