Accurite is not the most accurate.

I've had this product a few months. Accurite talks about a 14 day learning curve, so I've had this product long enough to go thru 2 learning cycles [the second because we had a power outage]. I like the look of it. Easy to read; backlit, heat index, etc. But I rated the product a 3 because neither the indoor or outdoor thermometers is accurate! The indoor is always 2 degrees to high & the outside is always 2-3 degrees to low! Go figure! I have had Accurite products before and have never had one where everything was as accurate as I'd like. The last one I had was not accurate with the barometric pressure. No, it wasn't wildly out of whack but I still had to check online for accurate pressure readings. No, I would not recommend this product to family & friends because I think all of your parameters should be trusted at a glance. You shouldn't have to add or subtract in your head, temp readings. This should be the easiest parameter to get right!

Will Not Buy Another One

The sensors only last about 1-3 years then stop sending to the main unit. This is the second one I purchased in 5 years. If the product is so good and the company name is "AcuRite" (accurate) you would think the warranty would be longer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
