Mostly a fantastic phone

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using the S23FE (SD 8gen1 ver.) for a few weeks now and I think I've gotten used to it as it has me and my usage. For the most part, it's a great phone. I upgraded from the S20 5G mostly for the flat screen, but also for One UI 6. I do miss having an SD card slot but I'll eventually get a NAS box since it seems Samsung makes connecting the phone to that pretty simple.
Pros of the S23FE:
- Beautiful big-enough screen and display (go team flat screen!) Also nice back color
- nice cameras
- can run games pretty well for the most part, I play emulated games and the phone runs them great.
- battery lasts a long time for me, even when gaming
- for me, the phone hasn't gotten hot yet. I know thermal management is an issue with this phone but I haven't run into it
Cons:
- there is a sliiight lag sometimes when scrolling in adaptive mode, also when playing FGO there's been stutters here and there. Not sure why.
- heavy, sometimes uncomfortable to hold if there's a bulky case on it
Anyways that's my review, I plan on using this phone for a long time.

Great upgrade from my S10e

I just bought this, and I am very happy with my purchase, I used to have a S10e, and this was a big step up, people talk about the heat and battery life, it did get warm at first when I was getting everything moved to it and everything set back up, the “smart switch” app was a lot of help, but since i haven’t noticed any heat issues, I don’t game on my phone, also battery life was complained about, and again when I first was setting everything up battery life was an issue, but it was on a lot during that time. I did put it in a Otter Box right away, and also a glass screen protector, the wireless charging is working fine with the otter box, and the finger print biometrics is working great with the screen protector on, I wish the fingerprint was on the power button like the S10e was, but I’m sure I will get used to it, and not i also have face recognition that is working very good! I have only used the camera for just a few. Pics, but it works very good, and the higher pixels make for even better photos than my S10e, I am very happy with my purchase, and I got a discount being a veteran, I would recommend this especially at the price compared to the S24, and it was only released 6 months ago, so it is not a very old phone.

New S23 FE

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Because Samsung products last so long I hadn't bought a new phone in years. In fact, after almost 7 years, my phone was still working just fine, but I recently splurged and got a new one. This isn't even Samsung's top-tier phone or ridiculously expensive, but it's even better than I imagined! The cameras and the Galaxy AI features are incredible. Many multiple step tasks I'm used to are already streamlined and solved. Yet, the user interface is still similar enough to my old Samsung that I don't feel stuck in that awkward learning curve of a new phone. The transition has been seamless. I'm really happy with my new phone.

Audio and camera quality

I have always loved samsung phones. And I reciently switched my galaxy s 22 plus for the s23 FE and I regret so much. I got the phone through my carrier and the camera quality is bad and on told of that the audio is not as good as the s22 plus. The thing that I don't like about sasung is that there are so many updates like every month and I rarely see a difference. I have earbuds and a watch from Samsung and they also need updates. Not as much as the phones, but also regularly.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
