My Yukon arrived as stated with nice tracking details, thank you SS! I unpacked it and followed the instructions to start it. I was shocked how fast it lit! And that’s without a fire starter. After reading up on wood types I used Pinon wood which I purchased from a local home improvement store. The Pinon wood stated “aromatic and natural mosquito repellent” and long lasting. I lit it and the pit was quickly up to temp with the secondary burn happening. The heat it generated was incredible my wife loved it. After 2 cubic feet of Pinon wood I was waiting for the smoke to decrease but it didn’t. I’m hoping the smoke was only due to the type of wood used, I was and still am hoping the thick smoke was due to all the sap. I did read about a warping issue with the ring but didn’t notice any issues until the next morning when everything cooled. The ring is only touching the pit in three small places now and I’m hoping it will lay flat once the pit is lit again? Overall I think the Yukon is awesome! Very happy I bought it. After the pit was delivered I received an email from SS soliciting a Yukon cover. I bought it and it hasn’t been delivered yet. The cover should be part of the Yukon purchase just like the other sizes and it should also be mentioned on the website that it does Not come with one.

very cool product, size is awesome, very little smoke once heated up.
only negative: fire "pops" a lot, not sure if its just air pockets building up underneath or what, but quite a few loud pops

Almost Flawless

Amazing. I use it on a wooden deck. Everything it's advertised to be, minus three things: 1) There was no basic weather cover included with the stove as there originally was; this is absolutely necessary. 2) There's no easy way to put the fire out. 3) There's no easy way to clean it.

Love the stove it’s flame provides great heat for the kids after they get out of the pool. My only dissatisfaction is that it didn’t come with a cover.

The first fire up of the new Yukon was amazing. We had several friends over and they were all trying to figure out how it worked and didn't make us smell like smoke!

We used the Yukon for the first time tonight. It lit nearly immediately, as well as each log that was added. We absolutely love it! Don’t hesitate to by one for yourself.
