Simply the Best!

I've been around other peoples fire pits and always felt like I needed a shower after and wash my clothes. After doing a lot of research, I figured out that all the fire pits I've seen and been around were too smokey because of lack of O2, hard to start a fire, and constant attention needed for a continued hot burn. I was invited to a freinds house and his fire pit was way too smokey. He had a tall steel ring with screened holes to allow air into the fire. There wasn't enough O2 getting to the fire making it hard to start, too much smoke, and constant attention to keep the fire going. I suggested we pick up the ring and put the ring on top of bricks with enough space between them to allow more air from the bottom to get at the fire. It worked but no where near what my Yukon Solostove design works to eliminate smoke. The Yukon Solostove is not completely smokeless, probably about 90% less smoke than anything I've seen. It's very EZ to start a fire in the Yukon, it is very HOT, and burns wood to just ash. I was a boiler technician on the USS William M Wood DD 715 that was built in 1942 and know that O2 is key to a smokeless and clean burn. If smoke was coming out of the smoke stack of a destroyer, it would be a target for an enemy, and easier to hit!

Best firepit ever.

The Yukon is awesome. Ordered it same day I was at a friend's who just got it. Once the fire gets going there is virtually no smoke unlike traditional pits. Also wind does not seem to effect it much at all, also unlike traditional pits where smoke blows everywhere. Can gather around and your clothes don't stink at the end of the night. Hands down best fire pit I have ever seen.

Very impressed with my Yukon fire pit thus far! Enjoying a fire has never been better with the minimal, if any, smoke that this fire pit emits. If you’re on the fence at all on your purchase, don’t be! The quality and craftsmanship of solo stove is above all expectations. I can definitely see another one of these fire pits in my future, maybe the Bonfire to haul around in the motorhome. 10/10!

I was skeptical about the fire pit but liked the way it looks. The Yukon is an amazing fire pit I like how easy it is to start and how completely it burns the wood. I am impressed with how little smoke is given off making the experience much more enjoyable for even an allergy sufferer like me.

Great fire, BUT...

My new Yukon certainly delivered on the fire and the promise of low smoke. I’m not so sure about the ember shield, from my first run I’d say that’s a waste of an expense.
And the cleanup... “turn it over and let the ashes fall out” is just not a great design solution. Particularly not when it rained over night. What a mess. Would it have been so hard to build it with a removable grate?
