Yukon is amazing!!!

I ordered the Yukon and Ranger during the kick starter campaign and have had the opportunity to use both of them a couple times. I have to say the Yukon is by far the most amazing, mesmerizing fire pit I’ve ever seen. I have it on the back of my 800 square-foot wooden deck on top of the included stand with no heat problems. It lights easy, burns hot and has a fabulous flame just like they said it would. We have roasted marshmallows and hot dogs and my young adult children think it’s phenomenal and want to come over all the time and like the thing up. I have a very small noteworthy complaint about the fire pit airflow ring... it has a couple small ripple/buckles and lifts up the edge slightly while the pit is lit. I’d be happy to share pictures if solostove contacts me via email. Overall, we could not be happier with both products and look forward to a family fun summer with them. Thank you solo stove, you guys rock !!!

Perfect Fire Pit for a Large Crowd

The Yukon is my second fire pit from Solo Stove; I also own the Bonfire as well, and it is just perfect for our family of 4 while relaxing on our deck with a few friends.
The Yukon fits the bill perfectly for the next level in fire pit size and heat. The team at Solo Stove uses the same recipe of quality materials and construction, combined with science, innovation, and a full measure of World Class Service that they do on their other products to create a fire pit that serves perfectly as the centerpiece for an evening party outdoors with a dozen or more guests. It is amazing how a 30” diameter fire can burn so strong and clean, and keep a crowd comfortably warm without everyone having to cram in around one another to get close enough to enjoy the heat.
Thanks to Solo Stove, our evenings outdoors are now forever on the next level. They have extended our range for outdoor enjoyment and entertaining, immeasurably.

First Firepit of 2019

I had purchased the Solo Stove Bonfire for Father’s Day 2018. My husband was not keen on the idea at first. Once we received it and used it a couple of times, he was glad I made the purchase. We were able to take it on the road to the in-laws and everyone there was also impressed. We had friends over during the summer and they were so impressed, she bought one for her husband for Christmas. I decided to upgrade to the Yukon recently. We used it for the first time this evening, 4-14-19, after having received a spring snowstorm here in South Dakota. The Yukon puts out a ton of heat. The Yukon will definitely be an added bonus to our backyard. I highly recommend the Solo Stove.

SoloStove Yukon

I got the Youkon about 3 weeks ago. I’ve had a Bonfire for the past 6 months and absolutely love it - decided to upgrade to the Yukon - the thing is a fire breathing dragon. However 2 comments. 1: Use the next thickness grade up on the stainless shell - it’s not as rugged as it could be. 2: Provide a 34” diam. (Or whatever dimension) Hard plastic disk to put under the cover to let it double as a table and not fill with rainwater - similar to one of the caps on a yeti tub cooler.
I feel the comments are legit - y”all are a good company and make a good product.

Discoloration

Used my Yukon for the fist time and the top ring is completely discolored. Is this normal or just poor quality? Will the product continue to discolor?

Great fire pit, could benefit from a few updates

We really like how the SoloStove design significantly reduces smoke! This was a key selling point for us and after our first use we noticed a wonderful difference and reduction in the smoke emitted. So clearly SoloStove focused on some of the key product features. However, a few simple convenience updates could dramatically enhance the overall experience. First, reinforce the stove cover so that rain water doesn’t collect. The current cover/stove design creates a water collection pool that is frustrating to maintain. So far we’ve used the stove once, but emptied the cover 5+ times. Second, some form of handles on the stove would aid in moving the stove around... either to empty the ashes from prior fires, or to simply move the stove from point A to B. Resolving these inconveniences would elevate this stove to the upper echelon of fire pits, if not to the very top.

Yukon Stove with Base

So I think the function of this fire pit is really great and glad there is a product that reduces the smoke and gives you great flame to look at. However, there are a few changes I would make and I have listed them below.
1) The Yukon is rather large so some kind of handles on the side would be useful for the purpose of moving the pit and emptying the ash.
2) The metal edges are sharp and could be dulled down by rolling the edges into a round edge instead of raw sheet metal.
3) I feel as though turning the pit over and trying to empty the ash out of the holes in the grate is not very efficient and poor design since it will get difficult to empty the ash through the small holes if the ash gets wet. Typically if I have a fire, I can't cover the pit right away due to it being hot. This is limiting because I don't want to have a fire anytime it may rain overnight. I think it would have been helpful to either have a removable grate or some other way to flush out the ash.
I probably would have given the stove 5 stars if it weren't for these things but for now, all I can do is a solid 3.

Love our Yukon!

I had been considering purchasing a smokeless fire pit for well over a year and much to my surprise a Kickstarter for Solostove happens to come across my phone. Showed it to my wife and next thing I know is we are purchasing the family’s last Christmas present! Could not wait till it arrived and was over the moon when it arrived via “Brown Santa”, ie the UPS truck. Unwrapping it we noticed the packaging was stout and had perfectly protected our new present. This thing is a beast, extremely well made and the fit and finish is excellent! (I am a quality engineer and we do a lot of stainless.) First thing we did was set it up and immediately had our first fire that night. It lives up to the expectations, burns incredibly clean with no smoke when the wood is beneath the ring of the unit. My family loves it and it’s taken center stage on what was our unused patio. We will be going through a lot of wood and marshmallows this summer thanks to our new Solostove Yukon.
