Great for family

With five in our family, we wanted to be sure that everyone could gather around the fire together. The Yukon was the choice for us with its ability to carry fuller size logs and spread warmth all around. It takes the Yukon a bit of time to get warmed up, but once it is going it is roaring and really puts out some comforting heat. The lack of smoke is absolutely amazing. I still am amazed at the burning process, how the logs ignite around the entire surface and provide a beautiful burn, reducing the amount of wood that you end up really needing to use. Also, even with the larger size, the Yukon is portable and we've already used it in three different areas of our property, both yard and patio (with the stand of course). Great product!

Love, love, love!

We love sitting outside every morning sipping on coffee and enjoying nature. The chiminea just wasn’t cutting it for warmth and the smoke was annoying. We got our new Yukon and absolutely love it! This really puts out the heat and we really like not fighting the smoke. We definitely recommend the solo! We’re thinking about getting a small one for camping trips.

Better than expected

I have been researching solo stove for a while and decided on the Yukon. Arrived quickly and very impressed with the quality. However, I was blown away by the performance. Once started, which seemed very easy, the fire burned more hot than I anticipated, which was one of my concerns. Also, as advertised virtually no smoke. We were able to sit by the fire for hours, adding wood as needed. The coals at the bottom were glowing red hot, clearly the airflow was stoking this beast to achieve some serious heat. It is so hot on the inside that a short fire stick is no good as you literally can not put your hand over the opening for any length of time. I was concerned about heat and smoke, and this far exceeded my expectation. Amazing design. I am only disappointed that I didn't purchase sooner.

AS ADVERTISED. EASY TO LIGHT, BURNS COMPLETE AND BURNS SMALL STUFF LIKE AN INCENERATOR. COULDN'T BE HAPPIER WITH THE PRODUCT. FOR THE PRICE IT SHOULD COME WITH A COVER THOUGH.

So far, not so good

Truth be told, I try to avoid products from American companies which are made in China. I just received my brand new Yukon this week looking forward to spending quality outdoor time while I have to shelter in place in PA. I did extensive research on this product because of the price. Everything looked great. I never did find out where it was manufactured. However, based on the company being located in Texas and the cost for a fairly low tech device, I assumed it had to be manufactured in the good old USA. Imagine my disappointment when I found on the bottom of the box the inscription that my new stove was designed in the U.S. but "thoughtf
ully" made in China. For the price charged, I believe a decent profit could still be earned with manufacturing somewhere in North America. I got the feeling that the place of origin was not transparent in the advertising. I hope it works as advertised or I'm going to be really disappointed.

Sadly, the Yukon did not meet my expectations. It is very large, which is wonderful for family gathering. However, at this size the low smoke technology promised by the company does not hold up. We had all the same problems a traditional fire pit would have regarding smoke. I will be returning. I was willing to pay the high price tag for the promise of low smoke, but otherwise this fire pit is not worth what it costs.
