Love it so

We were pretty excited about getting this and it did not disappoint. Easy set up, great flame and heat, without much smoke. While I enjoy the smell of a campfire, it’s nice to not have to take a shower every time we have a fire. We are looking forward to lots of stories around the campfire.

got this yukon for a gift for our son in law. it’s awesome and perfect for a big group to sit around the fire! we have the smaller version... but we might just have to buy up after seeing his!!!!

Best backyard fire pit

I have been using various fire pits for a long time and most of them either fall short on getting the fire started, keeping the fire burning evenly or producing a lot of smoke. The solo stove did not disappoint. First of all the stainless steel design is really pretty and unique to any other fire pit. As suggested, I started with some kindling wood and after it caught fire I placed 5 hardwood logs right on top. I bought the hardwood at Lowes as usual, and the logs started burning immediately. In the past I had to frequently rearrange my logs and sometimes even restart the fire, but not with the solo stove. The size of the Yukon is pretty big. I could have easily put 5-6 more logs into it, but I wanted the keep the fire small since we had the stove placed under my overhang. The biggest test was the smoke development, the reason why I actually bought the fire pit. In the past, I could not prevent smoke travelling up into my attic and out other interior rooms when the pit was placed under my overhang. The solo stove is not smoke free, but it produces much less smoke. You still get the typical fire pit smell and when the fire gets low the smoke development increased. Once we put more logs into the fire the smoke disappeared. Nevertheless, today my house does not nearly stink as much like last nights fire. For groups up to 4 or 5 people the smaller bonfire stove might be big enough, but if you like to host larger groups and make some real camp fires the Yukon is definitely the stove you want. I will keep working on minimizing the smoke development and look forward to many future fires in my backyard.

Great Stove

Great product! The bottom by the stand stays pretty cool to the touch, which I like. The domed fire grate makes it a little challenging to keep the wood centered, but I added a fire ring to help with that. Overall, I am very happy!

Love at 1st light!

After watching a number of videos on YouTube, I decided to purchase the Yukon Ultimate Bundle for additional heat (to my gas outdoor fire pit) and ambiance in my backyard. Once lit, it took about an hour to get to the “sweet spot” that was promised. (Not surprising considering the amount of wood it holds). Beyond the appeal of virtually no smoke and good heat output, the flames appear to be in slow motion which is really cool visually! Great purchase!!!

Yukon is a hit

My wife has wanted a Solo Stove for our patio for a long time. I purchased the Yukon and it arrived the week before Christmas. I spent an hour and a half getting it wrapped halfway decently - it's a BIG box. My wife came home and while still walking through the door, she said, "that's a Solo Stove".
A cold front had moved through the day before and it was a clear, crisp day with a cold night coming. We decided to get the Yukon out of the box and break it in that night. Since then, all the neighbors have been over and we've had a fire in it every night. We love it.
