[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter and son in law are enjoying their Solo Stove Yukon 2.0. This was a Christmas gift from us. It’s fun family time spent around the fire!

I bought the Yukon 2.0
on April 17, 2024

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the Yukon 2.0 for my husband for Christmas. Living in North Florida we have had many cold nights this season to use it. The product is awesome! Works as advertised, easy to get a fire going and not too heavy to move around our yard. We have set it up directly on the grass with no damage to the yard at all. Highly recommend!

Yukon 2.0

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This firepit is everything advertised and more. Easy to use, visually appealing and emits plenty of heat, even when ambient temperature was in the 30's. Cleaning ashes the flowing day take about a minute.

Yukon 2.0 Pellet Package with cover
on April 22, 2024
Posted by: Matt W.
I got a pretty good deal on the 27” Yukon with the cover and the pellet insert, as well as the surface adaptor and the newer cleanout tray. I love a good fire in the spring or fall, but I also wanted to have a good log starter for my offset bbq firebox. So I will alternate the location from the bbq area to the firepit. My last firepit insert rusted through, mainly due to the fact that it was steel and had no cover. Rust is the enemy of firepit life it seems.
The Yukon has met all my expectations on two fires so far. I have not tried the pellet method, but will do so in the fall I think. I use hickory and pecan logs for the fire, and sometimes maple for kindling that fall off the trees here in KY. I use cheap Kroger fire starter wax sticks to get things going. It doesn’t take much to get a smokeless fire and I am happy with the overall burn and enjoyment I get over the previous pits I have had. I still have a 36” concrete block circle that I am going to try to see how the Yukon burns in it. It should be OK since the circle will have some room to provide airflow.
I love the metal cover. It keeps the rain out and just makes everything neater and cleaner and easy to maintain. Overall a great experience so far.

Excellent!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fired it up last weekend. Lighting was simple, fire stayed hot with minimal effort, and we didn’t smell when the night was over. Easy clean up. Looks great. Hope it lasts a long time. If you’re on the fence, go ahead and buy. You won’t be disappointed.

The most inconvenient fire ever
on May 19, 2024

The solo stove delivers a nice clean campfire when using kiln dried wood. It is mesmerizing when the flames start to fold in on themselves burning impurities… my wife and friends absolutely love it! But as the person who is in charge of keeping this thing operational, I’m out. I live in Kentucky where we have a very wet spring and an intense humid and hot summer. In other words you can’t conveniently use a solo stove in spring or summer. I just spent 45 minutes picking wood out of my solo stove and extinguishing the flames with water (like a normal person does) in a flower bed, then I had to pack it away in it’s snug fitting carrier to take the thing under shelter. I asked a friend of mine what it would cost to build a stove out of stainless and it’s about what I paid for this thin piece of sheet aluminum. Anyway, thanks a lot for scamming my wife into buying this burden for me. I can already hear the consumer response team… pour sand on your fire pit. Nope that’s dumb… I don’t want 4 metric tons of sand on my lawn over the course of the summer. I’d rather she had just bought some river stone and we could enjoy a nice naturally aerated fire…
