Better than anticipated

I've had multiple fire pits in the past. I was surprised how easy it was to start up the fire. I even used some wet logs after it started and it continued to burn them completely. Normally, there is one log left in the fire pit that doesn't completely burn. Not with the Yukon. All that was left were ashes, not even the hint of a piece of wood. The secondary burn proved to be very efficient.

So, a few things. 1) I did not really believe that 1) such a thing as a 'smokeless' fire could be real; 2) a wood fire pit could be basically hassle free, in terms of both keeping the fire going and cleaning/maintenance; 3) there was a way to improve on heat output from a basic wood fire.
I was wrong, dead wrong, on all three of these. The Yukon is awesome. Start your fire, throw logs in without a care, and bask in its heat and glow all night long. You may wonder why you should spend these kind of bucks on a fire pit, as did I. Now that I have, I have no more questions. Superior in basically every way to a traditional fire pit.

Perfect for patios

The Yukon was just what we wanted. Perfect for up to six people on our brick patio. Fires up quickly using small fallen sticks as kindling. No need to bother with medium size split logs. Just get the kindling going and throw on a log or two. The airflow helps it build quickly and captures the smoke. I don’t smell like a campsite when you’re done! It’s also highly efficient. Just dump out the surprisingly small amount of ash remaining the next day. The cover is a must for rain protection but it’s also not too heavy to keep you from moving it under cover after it cools. Really enjoying the Yukon this fall!
