Standard unit does what it says it should

I've had the range for 2 months now. I don't really have any complaints. I switched to glass top, which has been an adjustment from my previous unit. All the dirt shows and I'm afraid of breaking it, but that's not a flaw of the manufacturer. It is easier to clean, but I have to clean the top way more often to not look terrible. The oven works just fine. I do find it takes quite a bit longer to cook for stuff I bake using stoneware (10 min longer maybe). I know this is standard for all ranges when cooking with stoneware, but old oven that died on me never had that issue. Maybe the old one ran hot and I never realized. Overall this is a basic unit that works as it says it should. I like the simplified look and the white. Oh, and the clock is easy to set. Hooray! Also, I ended up paying for delivery, which wasn't my first choice, but I couldn't find a helper to go pick it up myself. I'm actually glad I did that. They were super fast, friendly, and came when they said they would. In the end I'm happy to have saved myself the hassle of driving to Vaughan for a pickup. I'd buy from CAS again.
This range has everything you need for everyday use. Stovetop offers several cooking options, including a warming spot. Oven works perfectly. This range heats much faster and hotter than our previous range, so we are adjusting our cooking settings and times to get the best use out of it. Good storage in the bottom drawer. We are looking forward to trying out the steam cleaning option.
Very nice stove, oven heats up quickly and seems to cook evenly.

I am happy with the overall performance of this stove, I will never buy Samsung products again after having 2 failures with induction stove and over the range microwave
1) The stovetop is controlled by easily accessible knobs on the front of the unit. There is a lockout button on the back panel of the unit, next to the clock and oven settings. This lockout button does not lock out the easily accessible knobs, but only the settings accessible by the digital panel. This is a risk as there are ofen smallish children around who can (and likely will) turn on the stove elements, despite my belief they are "locked out".
2) The option to disable button press beep sounds also disables timer alarm sounds. I don't want to make a lot of noise when I'm heating up the oven, or setting a timer, I do want to hear when a timer beeps. The feature is effectively disabling the timer function.
While neither of these issues are in an of themselves a flaw in the product, as they working as intended, they are a flaw in design. I did my due diligence when shopping, checking specifications, measurements and features, but those shortcomings were not mentioned in any of the literature I was able to find.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bought this because our old stove was giving out. Couldn't believe the price and it was a very nice looking stove. Love the fact that the knobs are in a different spot. Now I don't burn my arms rom heat or steam steam turning up or down. Plus I love the fact that the element is not visible in the oven!!!!
