The machine was just delivered and installed on Monday.. After washing the first load I noticed an awful smell coming from the washer. I always leave the washer door open. You can smell the machine from the hallway. My main . complaint is the pulsing vibration that sounds like my air conditioner when it is straining to work. You can hear it throughout the house. The machine was installed properly and balanced without any packing material left behind. I would not purchase this machine again. Ihave only had. it three days and wish I could send it back.

ezDispense rocks!

Absolutely love this washer. WM5700 is basically just WM5500 with ezDispense -- and it's absolutely worth getting that feature. Coming from a top-loader washer, I found the process of getting detergent into the front-loader tray for every load to be tedious and messy. With ezDispense you just load a whole bottle of detergent in and the machine handles the dosing automatically. It sounds small but it's a HUGE quality-of-life improvement. I also love the faux-stainless finish.
I do wish LG would make their washer doors reversible. This opens the wrong way in my laundry closet, but I have no other option due to the location of the dryer vent. Bit of a bummer.

Great upgrade!

Flooded laundry room and pantry on very first load

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our new washer was installed and checked out by the installation crew as being OK. They left. We started our first load, a large one, just to rinse out anything left in the washer from the manufacturer/handlers. In just a few minutes after starting the washer, the entire load of water gushed out from the back of the washer and onto our floor. We had to scramble to block the water and get our wet/dry vacuum to suck up all the water! What junk!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this set to replace a 14 year old LG set that still worked, but was ready for something new. This set is beautiful and clean looking. No chrome, thankfully. It’s quieter than my older LG, less vibration during the spin cycle. The auto detergent dispense works well. This a great machine, as is the much improved matching dryer. I highly recommend them.
