The eVscope 2 is a very nice upgrade to the eVscope 1. The Nikon addition really adds to the visual experience.

Love the ease of use, speed of set up and awe factor at outreach events.

I love this scope sets up fast and finds objects easily.
You won’t get the same quality as astrophotographers get.
But you won’t spend hours and a lot money either.
The photos below all came on the same evening along
with several others. Best scope purchase I’ve made

I have enjoyed this scope more than any I have owned in my 61 years of amateur astronomy. Even through larger scoops most deep sky objects appear as faint fuzzies, but a few minutes with the EV2 reveals sooo much more!

The eVscope 2 is a great instrument for public outreach. It can easily find its way around the sky. With image stacking, it can pull objects out of the sky like M57, the ring nebula, with ease even when there are thin clouds in the sky. The visitors gladly download the app and are amazed at the images they see on their phones. This also removes the desire for the audience members to try to take a (time consuming) phone picture of the object in the telescope because they now can simply hit the download button and they get the same picture that the scope is displaying. The scope does great on open clusters, globular clusters, galaxies, and nebula. Planets and the moon are not its strong points. Attaching nine or so people to the scope is just shy a few connections that I'd ideally like to see, but nine is a fair number. In the future, I'd like to see up to 18 or 20 people being able to connect at once. I'd gladly pay the extra money for a second wifi channel or for a WiFi system that can handle more connections. I would also like to see, in future models, a more powerful computing unit that can locate objects just a little faster. At the moment it can take 30 or 45 seconds to find some objects, but it does find those objects. Overall, a great and very valuable addition to any person or group who does public outreach.

Great capabilities and ease of use. My only hesitancy is the lack of downloadable raw files which provide much better imaging processing. I and many others would appreciate an update on that enhancement as well as a timeline.

This scope is not cheap, but it’s worth it! It’s easy to set up, calibrate and quickly finds deep sky objects. My friends are all amazed! They also love that they can connect to it and save photos of our universe.

It’s been said many times before — this is simply a game changer. Coming from a traditional Meade with an imager to this simpler set up and ability to let teens explore without a 4 hour lecture or fear of misuse.
