Bosch Dishwasher 800 Series

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a Bosch dishwasher for 16 years and I loved it! When it died, I replaced in with the 800 Series Custom so I would have the wood panel on the front that matches my cabinetry. The installer showed me that the dishwasher had to be lower than the old one, so when the door is open you see the top of the dishwasher and the bottom piece of wood would not fit, so now I look at the metal bottom of the dishwasher.

Not as good as my kitchen aid I had previously

The only good thing about this dishwasher is that dishes generally get clean. The pull out trays are horrible for loading dishwater. The silly, tiny top drawer is useless and it makes the middle drawer so short not much fits into the middle drawer. Then the bottom drawer has horrible prongs in it for bigger
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bosch dishwashers are the best

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is our third Bosch dishwasher over the past 30 years serving our family of 6. First unit replaced another brand. Second unit was in a new home and we used it for almost 20 years and gave it away in working condition as the new kitchen remodel caused us to need a different size dishwasher.
Consistently clean results with a machine that just keeps working.
This latest model we now have with our kitchen remodel is very smart, tunable to your every need. This is also our first panel ready which allowed our cabinet maker to make a custom front that matched our other new cabinets.

Lacks some features I'd expect

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There aren't many panel-ready dishwashers, in any size, and this was pretty much our only choice. It's OK. There are no particular eco features to save energy. It doesn't allow you to skip the drying cycle--"express wash" is the only setting that doesn't waste electricity drying, and that's not suitable for every load. There's no cycle that's a middle ground between fast and interminably long. The door is difficult to prop open for air circulation and there's no latch or anything that I can discern to hold it open. The utensil basket and top tray is flimsy, but I do like the top tray for lightweight plastic lids and such. The bottle/vase prop is also neat, though the bottle didn't come clean so I can't say it works. It's noisier than my last dishwasher that was 20 years old. So no, I don't really like it much, but I'm stuck with it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
