[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall: Excellent little machine that can legit double as a windows 11 tablet and gaming machine.
Pros:
- Excellent build quality
- Ryzen Z1 Extreme SOC is responsive
- Love the additional rear buttons and ability to customize them
- Legion Space is improving and the on-demand customizability (thermal, perf, screen) work well
- Lenovo is actively making improvements in the software, BIOS options, etc
- 144Hz screen looks great and the lack of VRR is unnoticeable
- Integer scaling registry mod helps visuals/perf when running games at 800P
- Big battery and good battery life based on what your power / performance / screen settings are
Cons:
- Controllers could use a little cushioning for your palms due to the edges; because you have to hold the Go at a different angle than a typical controller to see the screen, it can put some pressure on your palms after a while.
- Hall effect sticks work well but tend to activate deep into the activation; could use the ability to tweak their response so they're more progressive.
Overall, I've enjoyed the experience with the Go. Looking forward to further improvements being rolled out by Lenovo and trying more games on it. Great product!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great screen, good controllers, more po. My only issue is the windows and Lenovo game software are clunky compared to the steamos. Hopefully the linux options become fully compatible with the legion go hardware.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a casual gamer, mostly on consoles, but I have been eying a handheld gaming device for a while. When I saw the large screen and the power of the Legion Go, I made the plunge. This device is awesome to use. I love the large screen and power of the Go. I am playing games like Assassin's Creed Mirage, Starfield, Tomb Raider in high settings and it runs smoothly. I will say, compared to a Nintendo Switch, for example, the Go does require some PC savoy to update the drivers and tweak the settings to make it run at its best. However, all of this information can be found easily online with tutorial videos and articles. It feels great in the hands. It is slightly on the heavy side but it does not distract or effect gameplay for me. I just love it!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great device except for a few things like lack of VRR and a vertically oriented display. The software is a bit immature but improving quite rapidly.
