[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got this to try because it said pet friendly.I'm glad that I dont have to worry about my dog walking on the sidewalk because of winter.I love how fast this salt works on the ice and how pet friendly it is.

Protective formula that works!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Snow Joe ice melt is designed to help keep walkways clear. We get quite a bit of cold weather where I live and need to have our sidewalks and driveway clear for us, guests, etc. This ice melt worked very well. I was able to sprinkle it down on areas on my way out of the house first-thing-in-the-morning and while I was running errands it did its' job and I was able to safely carry groceries up our steps and into the house. We have young children and older friends (plus it is delivery season and we need those drivers to get the packages to our door safely!), so it is important they can walk safely as well. Knowing that our pets and our neighbors' are not in danger of burnt paws is a huge relief. I also appreciate that this is less damaging to surrounding vegetation. We work all spring and summer for a nice lawn and destroying it during the winter is not ideal.

"Safe For Paws"...NOT

After using this product, my dog instantly started yelping and pulling up her paws. I was hoping that this expensive ice melt would be worth it, but it clearly is not. I will be returning, and I will just purchase the cheap stuff and put booties on her paws. Would not recommend.

Love the pet safe salt

I used this product today and was very satisfied with the results. 28 degrees here in Indianapolis and no problems. I also use the hand held scoop/spreader from snow joe and it is a good combination for me.
