Love it for the first two years...

The look and function of this kettle was great. I say was, because after two years (and it was not "abused" i.e. too much, too little water) the inside rim has rusted the lid no longer opens and closes as smoothly as before as well. I wanted to submit a photo but there is no option to do so here. Perhaps this was an exception to the kettle I purchased. (Not black as per above but it is pastel green.) The kettle is pricey therefore under "value" in my opinion it was not worth it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
