[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Perfect laptop for daily use and work activity. It's a great spec at a reasonable price... Good value for money.
When I got it the track pad would freeze a lot. It was really frustrating
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the two tone. Super fast shipping and the laptop is more than capable of handling all my studies
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It s a fantastic laptop, with most latest software and hardware, it handles almost everything as easy as winking, the camera cover is a very good idea too. Only downside is that the material feels like a little bit soft, my iPhone already dented the edge of the laptop, kinda not happy with that. Overall it’s a very good laptop.
I have used this machine for about a month now and overall, I would rate it as "great" in performance, a step below "excellent" as the top rating. The build quality is on the borderline of mid to premium with a nice, sturdy matte finish to the casing. Aesthetically, it is an eye-catcher as I have received compliments from others using other branded products of the same type. The 14", FHD anti-glare touchscreen is "fair" in quality only because white faults are visible around the bezel during times when the screen has a dark background, but no more than any other backlit, LED display. The touch response is "excellent". The solid-state drive makes Windows boot in a flash and the fingerprint reader response is instantaneous and you are at your desktop well within 5-10 seconds. The overall performance of Windows during real time usage is very snappy without any lag or abnormal behaviors outside of those common within Windows. The backlit keyboard is of good quality and has good, responsive keys making it comfortable to type. The touchpad has good response but could feel a bit better in quality. The ThinkBook 14 remains relatively cool during normal operations. While it will get warmer during more extensive usage, the fan kicks on and does the job well. Alongside with the thicker, full-length footing horizontally on the bottom of the unit to slightly raise the rear of the laptop, the airflow is truly proficient at keeping the laptop cool and has yet to ever become "piping hot" during extensive performance. The number of ports is adequate for a laptop at this price point. Overall, I believe this laptop will adequately fit into the lives of anyone that doesn't need it for performing graphically aggressive tasks.
While I would highly recommend this ThinkBook 14, I am disappointed that it apparently lacks ambient light sensory abilities that should absolutely be present in a laptop with a backlit keyboard at this price point. The brightness of both the screen and the backlighting of the keyboard must be manually adjusted with the latter having three (3) manually adjusted modes, bright, dimmer and off... controlled by a keyboard shortcut by depressing the "Fn" button while depressing the "space" button to toggle among the modes. When toggled "on", the keyboard backlighting will remain on for the entire time the computer is on and does not dim or turn off when one ceases typing or the laptop is left unattended unless the computer goes to sleep. The screen brightness can only be manually adjusted and doesn't give one the option to toggle "auto brightness adjustment" via Windows. It doesn't even accommodate to dim the screen when removing the power adapter and operate on battery. These are features I have found to be standard on laptops at even lower price points. While it's not the end of the world, these are convenience features that some are sure to miss.
In conclusion, despite the cons being it lacking some standard features as it pertains to the ambient light sensing, I feel one would find the overall quality of performance and build at this price point should successfully offset that.
