Good enough garbage dispoasal but lowsy drain

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This unit came with a new house I bought. The garbage disposal works fine but the rubber guard in the drain keeps the water from going down unless the disposal unit is on. My neighbors all expressed the same problem.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
