I bought the Cuisinart Air-200 Basket Air Fryer for three reasons. 1) The non-stick coating on my old generic air fryer was peeling off and the basket was rusting. 2) The settings were pictures icons and I had no idea what they meant. 3) There weren't separate controls for up and down temperature and time. It was an extreme challenge to operate. I researched a lot of air fryers, both name brand and generic ones, but the Cuisinart Air-200 is the only one that checked all the boxes for me. Its settings are plainly worded in English. There is no mistaking what I'm pressing. There are separate temperature and time controls. The removeable grate is not built-in to the basket. Rather, it's a platform that slides down into the basket. If need be, that grate can be easily replaced without having to purchase an entirely new basket. And the light! Oh my gosh. I didn't know I needed it until I used it. It's very bright. I can see the food cooking without having to pull out the basket. The basket is square with only slightly rounded corners for easy cleaning. That means there's more surface area for food. I also like the squatty boxy profile, rather than the giant black egg-looking design of my old air fryer. I couldn't be happier.

Worked just twice and now won’t do anything but display an error that it’s open when it’s not. So frustrating. I wanted to love it.

Easy to clean, not too heavy. Wish the instructions were a bit better (do I need to preheat before using the air fryer?). The “toss” auditory reminder could also be louder and clearer.

I downgraded my review to 4 stars as I find it annoying to have the time start at 20 minutes and the temperature at 450 degrees. It would be easier for me to have the time default at 10 minutes and temperature at 400 degrees. Otherwise I love my Cuisinart!

Thus far the appliance works wonderfully. My only issue is the instructions are far too bare bones. The “toss reminder” is spoken about but not what to do when it sounds the alert. I was initially pressing “off” to remove the tray safely as with no instruction to do so, there was no way of knowing if damage would occur if the basket was removed during operation. Now I know I can safely remove the basket without restarting the whole process - should be part of the instructions.

OMG! I used my Cuisinart food processer to slice potatoes for French Fries, then placed the sliced potatoes in a bowl, added 1 tsp of oil, a bit of salt, paprika, and threw them in the Air Fryer. I punched “French Fries” and 9 minutes later I stirred, and another 9 minutes later, I had beautiful fries for my children and grandchildren. Unbelievable!! Cuisinart has brought joy to my life with their easy clean-up Air Fryer.
