I just love my Cuisinart 5-Cup Coffeemaker. It is the perfect size for my counter top right beside my Cuisinart stainless steel 2-slice toaster. And the brewed coffee is delicious. I don't have to make coffee runs anymore to local coffee shops!!

Makes good coffee! However, some design problems. 1. To remove carafe lid, must lift TAB UP! this is counter intuitive! 2. Filer basket lid is too hard to open! 3. Lid to water reservoir has NO TAB and easily falls in when either 0pening or closing .

Overall, i would have rated the coffeemaker a 5, but due to the cheapness / plastic holder of the charcoal water filter which broke the 1st time I used it, I can't. Cuisinart customer service manager did understand and sent me a replacement. Thank you.

We use it at home every day, and take it on road trips to make "real" coffee in hotels that make weak coffee or provide the awful little pods. I am not a fan of not being able to tell how much coffee is left in the pot (like with our old glass pot), and the lid does not open easily to check. The filter pod in the water resevoir seems kind of lame, but you don't have to use it. So far, it works really well and is great for us.

Really like this coffee maker. It fits well in my small space, is easy to use (love how you can take the container off to fill with water) and makes a nice cup of joe! Only wish it would stay on more than 30 min…im a slow sipper!

This is a very good coffee maker. It is reliable, and consistently makes good coffee. This unit replaces a 4-cup one that finally gave up the ghost. Which raises the question - why ‘5’ cups? Don’t know, but it doesn’t really matter. The removable water reservoir is a nice touch, making preparing to brew quicker and more convenient. The filter placement is odd, being positioned so that water drawn from the reservoir during brewing does not actually have to flow through the filter. Once the provided filter’s lifetime is over, it will not be replaced as our water supply is already filtered. Finally, an engineering quibble: the hinge for the cover over the coffee basket is offset from the center of balance for the whole coffee maker. So, opening the cover requires a second hand to hold the unit firmly in place. Bottom line - a fine coffee maker that I would recommend to anyone.
