This product was exactly what I was looking for. Right capacity ease of use, no pods (yeah).

This 5 Cup stainless steel coffee maker replaced it's earlier model. The materials are lighter, somewhat cheaper is my impression. The paper filters that came with the coffee maker are flimsy. The coffee maker makes decent coffee. Having a stainless steel coffee pot is nice. I liked their previous model better.

I returned to this 5 cup coffee maker because it brews a better cup of coffee due to its conical drip method. This is my 3rd (5 Cup) Cuisinart coffee maker. I changed to a less expensive brand, but their flat basket doesn’t allow for the hot water to really work on the coffee. I ended up using more coffee to get a better taste , but it still wasn’t as good. With the Cuisinart, I use less coffee and still get a bold taste. So in retrospect, it is a better deal. On the other hand, the new design isn’t as friendly as the older one. The lid on the carafe isn’t as easy to lift as before, and the lid where you put the coffee is also difficult. It gets stuck.

I recently bought a Cuisinart 5-cup coffee maker. The first week I was disappointed because the carafe was leaking all over the counter when I poured a cup of coffee. I saw several complaints about this issue online. After studying the pot this week I discovered there is nothing wrong with the cuisinart carafe. I was pouring too fast. I slowed down and no longer raise the bottom of the pot so high. Issue remedied. No more leaking carafe.

This is an outstanding coffee maker. We have bought 4-5 units of this and it's prior models over this last 20 years. They last long, hot coffee and you make small improvements to make them a little better.
