I love this, it is PEAK innovation. First,some things you should consider, this is clearly a powerhouse and has weight to it. It means that you are going to worry about it walking when you go fast... ALL THE WAY TO 11! I'd recommend making this a focal piece on the counter top and keeping it there. Second, it can be loud. Not much louder than a certain competitor, but it is worth it over all.
Things that blew me away:
1. The app. The guided recipes! You can tell they added a recipe that supports a super fast speed. Can we say ONE MINUTE MAYO in a stand mixer! Speed 11 does serious emulsifying. This was very well thought out.
2. Auto Sense. First of all, I know what I am doing in the kitchen. I know when my meringue is done... but the ability's to trust a mixer to turn it off for me instead of having to Babysit it? I had a change an emergency diaper blow-out and I heard the mixer turn off! The meringue was the correct peak and I was able to just walk away. I will say, that I reduce the amount of vanilla extract, from one tbsp to 1 tsp is too risky personally for me to trust. I love that is still worked even though I made that change too. So smart!

Great potential

First let me give you a review that isn’t incentivized.The mixer does a great job as any standard mixer, but for the price point it could be better. First start with the app and recipes. There are only 12 and only 3 of those have auto sense capability. The recipe for egg whites does do a great job, but the other two are butter. Really I can’t form an opinion on two creations, of which aren’t that hard to achieve on any standard planetary mixer.
That leaves the guided recipes. I have tried a few of those and here is where I got to play! The mixer has an accurate built in scale as I compared to others . The auto timer is useful and appears to be set correctly for the recipes I have made so far.
The App is a beast and not in a good way. You cannot get to the recipes without the mixer being enabled. I don’t like leaving my counter appliances plugged in. I would like to be able to get to the recipes and ingredients etc , just for meal planning, without walking to the kitchen. I found the Alexa voice activation doesn’t always work. You can change speeds etc through the app but a little useless if you still have to walk over and hit start. Why GE??
What needs improving:
1.Auto Sense, better recipes including a classic white sandwich bread that takes the guess work out of kneading for beginners.
2. Tutorial for using the App and easy recipe access.
3. Bowl clearance is somewhat awkward.
4. More recipes, 12 is just sad
What is great:
1. Power! Top speed is actually scary, in a great way.
2. Planetary motion and bringing dough together is one of the best I’ve used.
3. One click attachments. Great design , no struggle attaching and removing.
4. Great onboard scale . I have always weighed my flour and now it’s just been made easier.
5. Timer , I can set and walk away without coming back to an over mixed mess or burned out motor for really distracting events.
Summary :
This mixer has the potential to become better over time and be a hands down favorite for me. I enjoyed testing this and look forward to what may come in the future. If you love gadgets this is for you. You will love working with this machine. If you just need a quick mix here and there , buy a hand mixer. Please GE get a better App.

For now because of the awkwardness of the App and lack of recipes I can’t give it 5 stars even though the mixer head power is very powerful.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We were very excited to put the GE profile smart mixer to the test! What I first noticed was the immense weight of the unit. You definitely have to make sure you find a convenient space in your kitchen because it's impossible to lift and store this unit away after each use.
The unit appears very solid and quality made, so I was a bit surprised that the detachable bowl shield was thin and flimsy. The unit comes with a beater, dough hook and wire wisk - each of them is heavy duty and matches the attractive design of the unit itself. Huge plus: they're dishwasher safe (as are the bowl lid and the bowl).
Placing the bowl into the bowl arms to attach itto the unit is not as smooth as I would've liked. The bowl pins scratch against the bowl hooks. I had to double check the instructions to make sure that that's the proper way to attach the bowl. Inserting the attachments is a breeze and easy. The quick release function allows a quick and easy change of attachments.
My favorite feature by far is the built in scale. It makes measuring so much easier and is so convenient. It's disappointing though that an exact measurement (metric) is not possible, as it only measures in 5's. So if my recipe calls for 217 grams of flour, I can only measure 215 or 220 grams.
The first batches of cake batter, whipped cream and cookie dough turned out great, all ingredients got mixed and blended in well.
I didn't notice any flour stuck to the very bottom of the bowl or the edges and only one batch turned out a bit lumpy, which could have been an error on my part.
Overall 4 stars from me.

Amazing Stand Mixer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this stand mixer. It is perfect for the home cook and their everyday needs. It has many features that make my life so much easier in the kitchen. Being able to quickly measure ingredients without taking extra time to take the machine off and measure it. It feels very heavy duty out of the box and can tackle even the stickiest of mixes. I love how the machine also has a light indicator which helps me do other steps of cooking while being able to check on the status of my dough. I also love the arm lock, being able to quickly pop a bowl in, makes adding ingredients so much easier!

Truly a smarter stand mixer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There hasn't been a ton of competition in the stand mixer market lately, but this GE Profile mixer changes the game.
It comes with stainless steel attachments that are most commonly used: a beater, dough hook, and a large whisk. These are high-quality, commercial grade and should hold up over the long term.
It's easy to use the manual speed control if you want. It comes with a smart feature called Auto Sense that automatically adjusts mixing speeds based on feedback from the mixer. This means no more on-the-fly manual adjustments and guess work.
The mixer has a built-in scale to let you weight the contents in the bowl. This feature is nice, but it really shines if you use the guided recipes in the app, where it walks you through each step and let's you weigh contents from the app.
The app setup was a breeze. I just scanned a QR code which took me to t he app download, created an account, and followed the easy Wifi connect instructions in the app. Since it's a mobile app, there is plenty of opportunity for continuous enhancements to make this an even smarter mixer.
This is very cool if you're into baking and appreciate technology that makes it easier.
This mixer is on the heavier side, so I suggest finding a spot that is easy to reach or won't have to be moved much.
Overall, I highly recommend it.

bowl issues

I wanted a new mixer and bought this one, as it was powerful, had a built-in scale, and other fancy tech features. Yes, it is heavy, but this is ok by me. I will never move it again. It is extremely powerful, and loud, but so was my Kitchen Aid. I had an unusual occurrence when using this mixer one week after I received it. The bowl started intermittently rocking back and forth in its cradle, making a clanking noise with this stiffer bread dough. No other cookie or cake recipes created this problem. This same stiff dough never gave my Kitchen-Aid bowl any trouble and it had the same bowl attachment style.
I did make sure the bowl was securely attached on both sides and snapped on in the back. I exchanged the mixer hoping that would solve the issue, but sadly it it happens with my new one too. My other bowl issue is that it has an uncomfortable handle. The handle is sharply squared off on the front edges making it difficult for me to hold for any length of time. The handle has rounded edges on the back of the handle and it would be great if that shape was carried around to the front. It seems like something that can be done in the future with a bowl redesign. I would love a second bowl anyway, but I can't find any extra parts for sale. I have solved this issue by using a silicone handle from one of my cast iron pans that I slipped right over the handle. Works great. Finally, I am a little worried about how long this mixer will last with all of the electronics, as my prior KA is still working after 20 years. I took one for the team and will see how this mixer does over time.

The scale only measures in 5 gram increments, it doesn’t seem very consistent, it’s very heavy and large to leave on a counter, it doesn’t come with a bowl cover or a second bowl, I couldn’t buy a second bowl

I was nervous at first because I have always just used a hand mixer but this is a game changer! The bowl and attachments can be attached easily without too much effort. I LOVE that it can be connected to a smart assistant. Overall, this has been great for making doughs and cake batter!
