Damaged clothing beyond repair.

I’m having trouble with buttons on our clothing getting caught in the holes of the lint trap and ripping them along with the thread creating holes in the fabric where the button once was. This has happened multiple times, whether the clothing is being turned inside out or not, with different items of clothing of varying materials and in one situation the button itself was so damaged by the drying process I couldn’t reuse it because the plastic between each hole where the thread is placed was completely broken off. I am having to throw away clothes as a result of what, I suspect, is a design flaw with the lint trap.

Great Appliance with Nice Features

Purchased as an “upgrade” from our old electric dryer. All research indicated long-term savings using more efficient gas drying, even though upfront cost would be more than an electric replacement. The product aesthetics are great, the color and layout of controls is very nice. The addition of “steam” capabilities is nice for athletic clothing, sanitization, and the occasional wrinkle removal assistance. We also liked the ease with which we could swap the door opening direction. The drying efficiency, going from electric to gas, has been unnoticed, which means we gave up nothing to make the switch. Overall, we are very pleased. The additional WiFi features make keeping up with our laundry cycles a breeze.
