V or N model, what's the diff?

I am confused about how some are writing reviews on the GFD65xSSVWW and saying they had the dryer for almost 2yrs. Didn't the "V" model just come out in Sept 2023? There's an older model, the GFD65xSSNWW. I was told to keep up with the GFW655 washers (GFW650's no longer being made) all GE did was change dryer model number from "N" to "V", but it's the same exact dryer. I have the newer stickered "V" in gas, and it fairly noisy and a bit metal boxy sounding for a dryer in 2023, GE should use more sound deadening materials.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Thanks for reaching out. We're more than happy to provide clarity. Model GFD65GSSVWW is a gas dryer, whereas model GFD65ESSNWW (GFD65xSSNWW is not an active model number) is an electric dryer.
There are normal sounds or noises that you will hear when using your dryer. There could also be a sound or noise that may not be normal. The following in the link lists both normal and abnormal dryer sounds: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=17411

Glass door?

Why do the Specs and Details say the GFD65GSSVWW has a glass door? I am rather certain the door on my dryer is plastic inside and out.

Ok features. A bit noisy.

The dryer is ok, very noisy though, sounds like the old electric dryers from 10 years ago. It does dry, has ok selection of cycles, steam option too. But I just don't like the model as a whole.
Also, there is no glass in the door. I had to replace a cracked bezel, all the see through pieces are plastic, no glass there. Not sure why GE keeps saying it's glass. See pics.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

GE appliances are truly the best. I’ve owned the same washer & dryer for nearly over 19 years with very minimal maintenance issues. Would recommend any Ge Brand
