Dries well, but burrs damage clothes & hand

So far the dryer works fairly well, but there are metal burrs on the inside opening and when we pull out clothes, especially bedding, the burrs snag and damage clothes, bedding. It scraped my hand when I ran it inside to check for clothes up front (machines are stacked) and it just ruined a bedspread. It's rather upsetting to find this after paying a ton of money for this machine, having to call for repairs the first day we tried to use the partner washer that wouldn't work on GFI outlets, and now having to call to get this metal replaced before it ruins more clothes or cuts me. The dryer features work OK, but for all its settings I can't find a basic time to dry clothes on low and get them dry without messing with settings. The lint basket is flimsy. I don't see that lasting well, and the screen is already getting plugged a month out. I didn't think I needed the wifi connectivity, but I'm pleasantly surprised to find that it's helping me get through laundry quicker, so bonus there.

A Beautiful working Dryer!

My GE dryer I absolutely love it so does my entire household as well the dials are easy to manage also not too noisy my clothes come out just as we desire them to so absolutely I recommend the GE dryer for quality care of your clothes

Great product

Been using it for over a month. Only had one issue with a sock that got tangled in the blower motor, i am not sure if it is due to a manufacturer defect with the filter or somehow the sock got dropped in while cleaning the filter. Got a new blower wheel installed and constantly checking to make sure nothing goes down into the wheel. Other than that one issue the dryer works perfectly. No other issues so far

Replacement: Right Color, Right Size, Right Featur

This is a replacement for a previous GE Profile that was damaged by a lightning strike. This unit is a perfect match for the washer (color and size) and has all the features the family needs (wants). It makes a slight buzzing sound when the gas valve is open, but is barely noticeable. A great choice.
