Great dryer poor design

This dryer has so many amazing features that it’s clear top engineers designed it. Unfortunately, it’s also clear these engineers don’t do laundry at home and are all 6ft tall. I bought the washer/dryer set and was attracted to the fact they could be stacked. When they installed and stacked (dryer on top) I couldn’t see or reach the controls for the dryer (I’m 5’3”) and had to unstack them. And the lint dispenser is designed as a basket that opens which is cool but lint gets stuck in all the small holes and has to be picked out which is annoying. Again, great machine but some poor designs.

Natural gas to propane

If you don't know what you're doing, changing the orifice to propane, you could mess a lot of stuff up! Generac has a switch on the valve which makes it simple and easy. The instructions are awful.

Sub par dryer

Junk. Dryer never gets hot, takes longer than old dryer to do the same task. Going on to my 2nd warranty call to fix the issue of not heating at all.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is a great gas dryer, although my first one only lasted 3 years I still purchased a new one.

Don't waste the money

Doesn't heat properly.second time I've bought this series... Still not impressed. Takes hours to dry loads regardless of size or clothing

Great Dryer with one minor quibble

Overall, we love the GE dryer. It can hold a lot of clothes, energy usage is low, and it does a great job of drying clothes. The only feature that needs to addressed is that the volume on the end of cycle alarm could be adjusted. The washer and dryer are in a separate space and the dryer alarm is soft you cannot hear it unless you are in the laundry room. I called the dealer and he did some research and said that volume could not be adjusted on that model. I would have that this would a basic feature on all units but it appears that the volume is only adjustable on the very high end units and this unit was not exactly cheap. Maybe GE might include tha feature on a firmware update.
