I got this "JawSaw" last year for myself. I like it so much that I gave another to my son for his birthday. This way I wouldn't need to go to his house to get it back after he would borrow it.
I have used this to cut up dead branches that fall from our silver maples in our yard. The trees are 80 to 100 feet tall and about 90 years old. I used it to remove an old pivot hedge almost effortlessly. The hard work was cleaning up the cuttings. I am leery of regular change saws because of the dangers and my inexperience using them. The WORX JawSaw is much more safe and does the work I need it for extremely well.
I got this before I needed it because of great price. I have been looking at this for quite a long time and that made it happen now. I will not be using this till May when I go to lake for the summer. I will be cutting firewood and new infringing growth. Should do the job great. My ratings are based on your other products I have.
I have not used it yet but hope it lives up to its potential

This thing works great, I used it to cut down a bunch of Holly bushes and I think it worked much better than my chain saw, no pre pruning and a lot less mess!

I have had this for nearly a year & found it much safer & easy to use than a standard chain saw. Once placed on the branch it stays in place even after cutting. Love it.
I bought this about a month ago and had to wait until the ground dried out before plugging it in and giving it a go. I didn't want the battery powered version because I seem to have longevity trouble with battery powered tools.
It worked right out of the box and I was able to cut some woody things that were bothering me since last year. I also cut a tree branch that was growing down rather than up as it should.
My favorable impressions: It works great if the wood being cut is substantial enough to not bend as there must be some resistance for the jaws to close. It will not cut thin or weak growth. I makes a fast cut. I liked that I could quickly cut up all the tree branches that had fallen since last fall. It is easy to carry and operate.
I have a lot of bamboo intrusion onto my property and I have cut at least a thousand shoots every years for the past three. This saw is not in my anti-bamboo arsenal along with my hack saw, axe and multi tool. I don't care if I damage the bamboo so the not so clean cut is not an issue.
My not quite as favorable impressions: It does not make as clean a cut as my regular chain saw which is important of living growth. I expected the handle to be a little longer since I got the impression that I would not have to bend over to cut things on or near ground level; which was the primary reason I bought it. Get the handle extension to solve this issue.

I bought mine last summer and really like it. I find it easy to use. My only complaint is that the chain falls off very easily and won't stay on even after tightening so unfortunately I haven't been able to use it since. I will be calling the company shortly.
