but definitely not an easy-to-use pole saw, since it's top-heavy. User manual is confusing. Could not figure out how to register on-line, even though warranty card says it's possible. Engineering of product much better than the accompanying literature.

I'm 71years old and I'm clearing my property of young trees. This battery operated Jaw Saw is the easiest to get the job on the way to completion. How ever I do need a new chain for this item, the other needs to be sharpened, so I'd like to have another one to use while the other is being sharpened. Is it possible to order it through this media?

Easy to use!

I bought this saw for my wife because it is so easy to use. We live in the country and have lots and lots of trees. I use my gas powered chainsaw to cut trees and my wife cleans up the branches with her JawSaw. She can also cut down small trees with her JawSaw. My wife and I are both in our sixties and this is by far the best saw we have ever used! I will buy another JawSaw when needed. The chain is very easy to change out but the chain lasts so long you don't have to do it that often. We are very impressed and satisfied!

Handy, very safe saw

I have had my JawSaw for about a year and a half. I use it to cut shrubbery and branches around my residence. You have to plug it into an electric outlet. Not a problem as I have plenty of them as well as ample extension cords.
Worx now offers a cordless 56 volt model. I don't know if it is as powerful as the corded model that I have.
The saw is best used for wood under about four inches thick. The jaw feature with the teeth helps hold the wood as you close the saw in a scissors-type motion through it. It cuts very quickly and efficiently. It is so quiet that hearing protection is not needed. You still should have eye protection though. It is easy to maintain with bar oil in an accessible reservoir. I have several hours of cutting already completed with no degradation in the sharpness of the blades. This tool will not replace a chainsaw for larger cuts, or places that are inaccessible such that you cannot insert the whole jaw around the wood.
The design is ingenious. The tool is very light for its capability. The feature of enclosing the pivoting chain within a fixed "jaw" frame makes it very safe. It would be very difficult to accidentally cut yourself with this tool.
An extension is available to allow you to reach higher with it, but I do not have it. I have used the JawSaw standing on a ladder with no apprehension whatsoever. I see no need for the extension in the work I do, but others might find it useful.
I highly recommend the corded JawSaw.
My only suggestion for improvement involves the clip used to retain the extension cord. It is relatively small, and difficult to thread a moderate gauge extension cord through. I suggest they enlarge the clip somewhat since larger gauge extension cords are often desirable for outside work.

Great Idea, Terrible Build

It would be a wonderful tool for limbing trees and making kindling except the chain comes off every thirty seconds!
I've cleaned the chain. I've tried every level of tension on the nut. I've greased and regreased the thing.
It doesn't matter. The chain always slips off ten seconds in.
It's infuriating.

Thank you for your feedback. I apologize about the issue you are having with the chain. Please contact customer service to troubleshoot and/or assist with replacement. Please contact 866-354-9679.
I bought this to trim and maintain several Pecan trees. It is extremely easy to use and I also purchased the extension (which was back ordered) but that wasn't a problem as I do have a ladder. Thanks Worx for your excellent yard products.
