can't wait to try with extended handle

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the worx trimmer 2 years ago and really like it. Have not the chance to use this new purchase because I live in wisconsin and it's winter, with snow and -4 degrees. Can't wait for it to green up so I can use this product, maybe another survey come late May.

Nice solid tool

First off, this thing is huge! Fully collapsed it is still more than 6 feet long. When I first tried to use it I hated it. The handle and power switch is all the way at the base of the unit in a very difficult position to reach and you’re trying to use the tool with two hands.It seems like it would be pretty simple to make the power switch more accessible. As I have use the tool and figured out how to make it work, it cuts great and does the job very well. So once I got past my initial impression I have been very happy with it

Heavy but gets the job done.

The unit itself is too heavy to use. I can see they tried to get the lightest materials to get the weight down but it is still heavy that it is awkward to use for long jobs.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Misses The Mark

I am a huge supporter of the Worx brand. Throughout the years of being a homeowner, I have made several purchases of Worx tools and equipment.
That being said, it pains me to have to leave this 2-star review. The pole hedge trimmer is a huge dud. It’s simply too weak to be taken as a serious lawn tool. 20 volts is just not enough. It takes too much work to get much accomplished. Aside from its weight being an issue, the blades cut entirely too slow.
Perhaps Worx can go back to the drawing board and make one that is at least 40 volts. I assure you that would be a vast improvement.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Lives up to its description

As soon as I unpacked the trimmer I put it to good use. It took a little adjusting to get the balance of the longer type of trimmer. It Has a powerful motor, surprising being battery operated. Once I adapted myself to its need for its proper trimming. Everything went along smoothly. Even when I extended the cutter to its full length and adjusted the angle of the head. The cut was as easy as standing on the ground…which I was. At 77ys I’m told to stay off ladders, grin. I would have given this set up a 5 star rating if I could use the cutter without the extension so I could do lower cuts without the weight or long arm to contend with. Where I live I don’t have storage room for multiple trimmers.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great tool, but another tool I have to store

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this tool hoping it'd be like the pruning saw with extension pole but was disappointed when received that it wouldn't work independent from the extension pole. Worx missed out on an opportunity to have an extremely versatile hedge trimmer that could have extension capability vs only working with an extension. Having it be extension only makes regular height hedge trimming difficult. It definitely has it use with the tall/ hard to reach hedges but those are fewer and farther between. So instead of only having to store one tool that has both low hedge and tall hedge trimming, I have to store two separate ones.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
