I have had the 20V cordless 4" shear for about 3 weeks now. I have used it to lightly trim back some shrubbery and to cut down a stand of Blackeye Susan flower stalks.
The Shear worked well with both tasks. I wonly gave it 4 stars because I think it runs a bit slow and the handle was awkward for me while doing the shrubbery. That being said, I would recommend this tool. an will look forward to continuing to use it.

Perfect tool for wider stalks of tall wild grass

I purchased this specifically for the smaller trimmer because of the width of the blades. Regular hedge trimmer I had, the blades were too narrow. I had to cut down wild grass stalks by hand. This hand held trimmer saves me literally hours of hard work. Only draw back is every now and again it would hit a joint and stop. (Some stalks as wide as 1 1/2- 2 inches thick). A little more power and it would be perfect. I am still very glad I purchased it.

Great idea, but mine quit working.

I quickly ordered my shears and was pleasantly surprised at how quickly it arrived. I used it several time through the first two years and not as much the first 6 months of 2023. When I went to use it for trimming the grass around my trees, it failed to work. I tried two different batteries to no avail. From ecstatic to worthless in 2 years is unacceptable. How do I get a replacement?

Blades dull very quickly

I loved this trimmer when I first got it, but after several months of use the blades are too dull, and there does not seem to be a way to sharpen or replace them.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Part fell off.

Part fell off. I went to use my 8” shrub blade only to find the gear had fallen off somehow. How could that have just fallen off?? The trimmer is still intact and solid, so how does this even happen? How can I get another blade?

This trimmer is great. From Ivy to shrubs and grass, it has the power to cut through with ease. It's size makes it easy to shape bushes. Battery life is great also. It's lightweight makes it easy to use. Blades change out with just a push of a button.

I use the 4” shear to trim around my garden plants. I do no til gardening, and this allows me to keep other plants trimmed down where my vegetables get plenty of light.
