Good edger but.....

Bought this edger because of automatice string dispenser. It dispenses more line but it breaks often. About every foot I am hitting the dispense button. Is there a stronger string available. Frustrated.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We apologize for any inconveniences you have been caused.The spool line is made of a biodegradable material so that it easily breaks down without impacting the environment. This makes the spools of line very delicate and in extreme weather situations, the line will begin to melt and fuse together. Based on your description you may need a new pack of spools. NOT worth the money

Worste trimmer I have ever owned, battery life is ok but the command feed and manual feed stopped working after the first spool. I bought Worx replacement spools so in theory they should work but they don't , I have rewound 2 different spools with no change.Dont waste your money or time on this worthless pile.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After using several edgers/trimmers, I believe that this is the best edger/trimmer on the market. It has great quality. It is easy to use and works great. I believe it is a great buy, best bang for your buck. I finally got an edger/trimmer worth buying and using.
I would recommend this to a friend!

It works ok blowing off sidewalk and patio. The only negative is the length of time the battery lasts. I get about 10 minutes and have to recharge to finish up. Wish the battery lasted 20 minutes.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I'm a senior citizen and this Worx trimmer is easy to use and gets the job , makes trimming good exercise without the pain.

How long should a spool last?

I really like this trimmer's battery life,power, weight, etc. but it burns through a spool of line in no time. Admittedly I don't have much experience with weed wackers - how long should a spool last? And is it only supposed to release more line when you press the button? Because I am not pressing the button and it still eats up the line.

This varies from user to user. Other factors like the type of grass being cut may affect this as well.

If you decide to use traditional line, the Worx GT can accept standard 0.065” cutting line found at any garden or home center and can be wound around our empty spool cartridges. Refer to your owner’s manual for important details about how to wind the line on the spools and keep in mind that with conventional cutting line, CommandFeed may not work as expected.
