it works as i expected. It is like the other on that i bought that when the head gets bad or broken it cannot be repalced, so throwaway like the last on and is far too common nowadays across much of the. consumer product offerings world wide.
That said i would like to know what the trimmer line is as it seems to be better than what the hardware stores display

I bought this to replace my corded leaf blower! I purchased a corded leaf blower about two seasons ago to supplement my cordless one that ran out of power before finishing the job.
It was a 20 volt but it did not have a lot of power, but was reliable. The corded one worked great with plenty of power but was limited to the length of the cord, which I knew when it was purchased. It was also a bit more trouble using because you had to unravel the 100’ cord and hook up to the blower, all factors taken in to account when purchasing.
I was satisfied doing this and the power it provided until one day I smelled burning and shortly there after noticed sparks coming from inside the housing, caused by the motor. Then everything stopped not to start again. I suspect it was a bearing failure.
After reading reviews about the Worx turbo blower I decided to give it a try. It does the job very well! It has plenty of power and the battery life is more than enough to get the job done with power to spare.
I only need the lower power setting to accomplish the task and only use the higher setting sparely and still have power left over.
I have purchased several Worx products and have been very satisfied with them. One of my products had a defective motor under warrantee and Worx replaced it without hesitation.
I recommend this product and others as well. Thank you Worx for your product research and Developement. I will consider you for future products purchase, especially since all products share the same batteries!

I bought this a week ago. charged it up, trimmed my front and back yard with one and a half batteries. I just wanted to say I dont buy stuff thats been on an infomercial. In this case I decided to take a chance, and boy am I impressed! I am very happy with the build quality. The "feed on command" is a god send, and the convenience of no oil and gas to mix and no electrical cord to get tangled has me very happy I bought this product. A+++!

Because I'm getting older; I dediced to transition from gas to a battery powered trimmer. I chose WORX on the recommendation from my brother. The first time I used it, I was completely amazed. Not only does it work better than my gas trimmers, the line last longer and the edger attachment is a real plus. Another plus is trimmer line for life. This is a remarkable product and, I believe, fairly priced.

Really gets the job done!

Some years ago I purchased my first battery operated string trimmer. It had an 8" cut. After tiring of dragging a cord through the yard this was a godsend. A few years later I upgraded to my first WORX trimmer (model WG155 - 20 volt - 10" cut). Put the old one to shame. (The WG155 - no longer available but similar to newer 10" models- is an excellent string trimmer and would still recommend it.) So this is my third one. Now with a 12" cut. Still uses a 20 volt battery. Difference? Well, a larger cut for one thing. This has allowed me to get through my trimming chores quicker. I do have an area where it is tough to reach with my lawn mower and using the 163 as a mini mower is where the extra 2" makes a big difference. I also have places needing to be edged but cannot use my gas powered edger. This WORX trimmer works very well for that. I did notice the 163 seems to do a better job with the edging than the WG155. Possibly because of the "Command feed" that allowed me to feed out more line as I needed it (both have the automatic feed which works well for me during normal trimming) or perhaps just the fact of the larger cut?. The shaft length can easily and quickly adjusted. In my case I am 6'1" and when it is adjusted for most of my trimming it can still be extended another 5 1/2" or shortened by 8 1/2". The handle and head are both adjustable in just seconds which I find great when I need to get under and around obstacles. Likewise, changing from trimmer to edger is only a flick of the wrist. The safety button is located such that it is easily used with either hand and it has become so automatic that I forget it is even there. I have not had this one long enough to determine how long the battery will last but I did my entire yard, trimming and edging, without losing power. Negatives? Can't find one. In my opinion certain yard tools should be cordless. So, if you are thinking about going cordless or just looking for a quality trimmer take a peek at this one.

Disappointing

Initially, I really liked it. It does go through a battery rather quickly but what was really disappointing was the fact that it totally died ONE DAY after the 3 year warranty. I own close to 2 dozen Worx tools and love most of them but my two leaf blowers have not lived up to my expectations for Worx tools.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great to have on hand all the time

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I keep this on the patio to blow it off prior to enjoying it, turn it on, clear the leaves that have blown on it and ready to enjoy the patio instead of the hassle of a corded blower.
