Great bed, tricky assembly

I love the bed, but the bed parts are not labeled and if you don’t read ahead on the instructions before beginning it’s very easy to get the wrong pieces in the wrong places and have to go back and reassemble them. Some pieces have pre drilled holes, but look identical to others, and if you don’t flip them around it’s easy to get them confused or facing the wrong direction.

I bought this a month ago. It’s so hard to find an affordable solid wood canopy bed. The price is good but it need two people to install. And the bed ribs smells bad and it seems like have too much moisture so it smells like mold.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Because of the size and structure of a canopy bed, assembly typically does require two people to ensure everything is aligned and secured properly. Regarding the smell you noticed, this can occasionally come from the protective wax or finish used during manufacturing and transit. While it can be unpleasant at first, it is not mold and does not affect the safety or quality of the bed.
