Disappointed!

Like everyone else...it would appear, I purchased two boxes and received duplicates. I was hopeful I would be able to get the entire set of twelve, however, that wasn't the case. I am not very happy.
The mini-figures are awesome, but considering the odds of completing a set with two boxes it's not worth the price. I consider myself lucky in that I only need three more to complete the set, but I buying another box will mean I'll have additional duplicates. I'd prefer not to take that chance. Thank you, Lego!

I bought 3 boxes from Lego. Normally do that and get the full set that way. This time all 3 were the exact same. Thought it was just bad luck so I bought 2 more from another retailer and they were the exact same.

This is the second time this happened. Happened with the Disney Mini Figs as well. Ordered three boxes and all three contained the same 6 minifigs. I assumed two would but all three? If I would have ordered six would all six have been the same based off how you package? Disappointing.

Just get one box

What a disappointment. I figured there was a chance at getting a duplicate, but not the exact same set in both boxes, down to the exact same order. I ordered two boxes, one for me and one for my son. I thought this would be a good lesson in statistics and barter trade, but ended up with a lesson in manufacturing and lazy logistics. As we worked through the box, excitement dropped with each opened figure matching each others. Untill we both sat with the exact same set of figures and a confused pair of parents trying to rationalize this outcome against the brief overview we gave on statistics not but a few minutes back. The figures clearly came off the line, single file, and we're then package, over efficiently into boxes and then continued there single file walk to the shipping department where they were given no thought or logic. Clearly these are all being shipped to retail stores who don't care about the contents so long as it rings up at the cash register.
I received the same order, twice; Moon Knight, Mr Knight, She Hulk, Eco, Hawkeye and Kate Bishop. I want the rest for me and my son, but I don't want to risk getting 4 of each character now.
Do better Lego. Next time, sell a complete set for us collectors, or at least randomize it a little bit.

Expectation is key

There are two 6-packs and it’s a 50/50 chance which one you’ll get. I don’t like blind bags, but the odds are more in your favor this way. The good news is both halves of the set are equally excellent quality.

How did this happen?

I am not a collector first and foremost. I got these because I had a fun experience with the last round of the marvel ones. I bought the max amount (so 34 in total, 3 boxes and 16 “loose” ones) and was pretty lucky with my draw, getting at least one of all of them except Loki. I liked the characters in this round, so I figured I might as well do it again. Big mistake. As others have mentioned, the boxes were identical. On top of that, I got 2 Agatha’s in each box, since they were identical. I ended up getting 8 unique figures, which is good, except I got 9 Agatha’s (2 from each box, 6 in total, and 3 loose ones). I don’t know how it went from so smoothly last time, to whatever this was, but it seems a bit ridiculous to box what’s supposed to be “random” in a specific way that’s repeated over multiple boxes. I’m actually fairly disappointed with this.
