Easy on the go pumping!

I just started my breast feeding journey in Aug when our first was born and I looked at so many on the go hands free pumps (elvie, Willow, mom cozy, etc). I had already purchased a medela freestyle and pump in style and didn’t realize the difficulty to pump on the go with normal flanges. I saw that Medela came out with these portable options and instantly knew I had to get them! These are so comfortable and convenient.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love this wearable pump

I bought this as soon as my son was discharged from hospital. I knew I couldn’t be stuck to a wall with a newborn and a toddler. I love that there are only three parts to clean and they are easy to disassemble and assemble. My only concern is that I noticed the tubing seems to have gotten milk or water in it and im not sure how to clean it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Easy and convenient

Love these for work and when I'm getting ready in the morning. If I had one critique it would be that they're very bulky and stick out. If they could be longer from top to bottom and not sticking out so much, they'd feel more comfortable.

i hate the new cups

I bought these to be a spare to the freestyle. The originals are much better. They are bigger which is great for my larger breast, collect more, are wayyy easier to clean and use. I have never leaked with the originals but these are awful to use. the clasp on the bottom is so hard to get together and apart and leaks all the time. i’ve lose 2 oz of milk and now i don’t use them. i called customer service already to see if i could buy the originals but they aren’t for sale. big bummer
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Could not even collect

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very excited to be selected to review these collection cups through the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I took them out and put them together. It was all easy to connect EXCEPT the backing on the cups. It won't latch (maybe a little warped?) and it would just leak out everywhere. I am not sure why it would latch at the bottom anyhow. It seems like it would leak even if I could get it closed. These seem much cheaper than what they cost and I just am very sad to think anyone could be losing precious, hard earned milk! I do not recommend.

Best of both worlds

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited to try out these Medela Hands-Free Collection Cups. I’d previously only used traditional breast pumps and collection flanges/bottles. In order to use those, I had to ensure that I was wearing a pumping bra (or otherwise plan to hold the collection bottles for the entire pumping session. Hands-down (pun totally intended) the best part of these Hands-Free Collection Cups was the fact that I could use them with a regular bra instead of a nursing bra. This meant that when planning my outfit in the morning I didn’t base my bra selection off whether or not I planned to pump that day! I can’t explain how freeing that is!
Once I got past a (slightly steep) learning curve to put the Collection Cups together, assembly was smooth sailing. There are only three pieces to put together and clean, which means that it doesn’t take long to wash and let dry. There is an O-ring to seal the larger cup pieces together, but it stays in place for cleaning.
Actual usage was a dream! I didn’t encounter any leaks, even when leaning forward or picking up my kiddos (including a wiggle toddler and less-wiggly infant). I did, however, have a bit of spillage when trying to transfer the milk from the Collection Cups to a storage bottle the first time. Once I got the hang of the angle to pour, I didn’t have that issue again. The only other down-side is that I couldn’t easily do any manual breast compressions while pumping. I find that I can fully empty when I do some compressions, but I suppose that’s the trade-off for being truly hands-free.
Overall, I loved that the Medela Hands-Free Collection Cups gave me the best of both worlds – truly hands-free pumping while still having great suction with the Medela pump I already owned! I should note – I was given this breast pump accessory to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. These opinions, however, are entirely my own.

Comfortable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Medela Collection Cups are a game-changer! I thought my small and portable Medela Freestyle pump was enough, but having these cups has made my life much easier. I do not have flanges sticking out like before, which kept me from doing certain things, such as washing dishes and picking up my baby. It fits in my nursing bra perfectly. I have various brands, and it fits all of them. They are very comfortable and do not poke into any parts of my chest. It is secure and does not feel like it is going to move around or fall off since they are lightweight. Upon opening, I was pleasantly surprised to see that there were only three pieces per side which meant fewer to wash. I hand-washed them and then put them in my steam sterilizer. The valve and shell snapped in quickly. You can feel a slight snap, which helps ensure it is in place. After using the cups a few times, it was effortless to recognize the position of the cups being centered on the breast and not too tilted off to the sides since it is slightly oval. Another favorite part of the collection cups is that I can quickly pour the milk into a bottle since it is a small opening. There is more than enough room in the cups for my milk, which has always been over-produced. I cannot believe how convenient this makes my life since I can do anything that does not require bending over (not to risk getting milk in the tubes). I feel like I can even walk around in public, although I have not tried yet. I would highly recommend it! I could not be more satisfied. Medela hands free collection cups

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve tried many different methods/pumps and none have impressed me much. Most were uncomfortable so when I received these medela collection cups from the stellar product testing panel, I was excited to try something new. My medela pump paired with these medela collection cups are a power couple and if I could only ever have one pumping method I’d be totally satisfied with just these collection cups alone. They’re super easy to clean, really comfortable, and so convenient. I was able to clean up my house as I wore these cups and got my pumping done at the same time. No leaks, no uncomfortable rubbing, and they’re easy to disassemble to clean and put back together for my next pump session. I would definitely recommend to all moms and mothers to be!
