Makes Pumping with 3 Kids Possible

I was given this breast pump accessory to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel, and I am so grateful for it! With my first child I pumped all the time, and even donated breastmilk to other moms. However, when I had my second it was so hard to find time to sit down and pump with a toddler around and I didn't do much.
With my 3rd baby being born this spring I just assumed pumping would be impossible. The hands-free collection cups changed the game for me. I can walk around and help my older two children, cook dinner, and even take the dog for a walk. I've got a stash of breastmilk in my freezer because of these cups! Now I wouldn't say that they're discreet, but with a sweater or jacket over top no one would notice you using them.
To make things even better, they can go in the dishwasher. You don't even have to remove to O-ring from them before you wash them. Another positive about these hands free cups is how well they removed milk from the breast. I'm not sure if its the "nipple tunnel" or being able to position them easily, but I got more milk using the hands free collection cups than I do with my traditional pump.
There are a couple negatives with them of course. I struggled to put the two main pieces of the cups together for a while when I started using them, despite studying the instructions and pictures. I also had some issues with milk spilling from the nipple tunnel after I removed them. The instructions do recommend you lean forward while the pump is on to get all of the milk into the cups instead, but I still had some spillage.
Overall these are 5 stars. 10/10. My favourite pump accessory I own by far. I will only be using these going forward because they are more effective and comfortable than the traditional pump parts. I had been interested in a hands free pump for a while, but couldn't validate buying a whole new pump for my last child when I already have some. This accessory being compatible with my existing pumps saves money and feels less wasteful. I highly recommend you try them for yourself if you're interested in hands free pumping!

I was pleased when I was given Medela's Hands free collection cups to review for Stellar Product Testing Panel. Being a busy mom of 2 under 2, it is what I needed the most! I can now follow my toddlers around while I pump with the collection cups hidden in my bra and clean up is quick and easy!

Easy to use, effective and discrete!

The Hands-Free Collection Cups were so much more comfortable and convenient than the bottle style pump while using it. The cups were super easy to put together, take apart and clean. I was able to hold my toddler and carry him around while pumping, which is something I would not have done before. I have also gotten into the habit of doing laundry, vacuuming, and dishes while pumping. Another pro is that it is definitely more discrete for use in public places. My husband didn’t even notice I was using it at first! This product is easy to use, allows me to be more flexible with multitasking, and it is discrete! I really love that this allows for an affordable and effective conversion option for many of the Medela pumps to become hands-free. Moms need all the hands we can get! Overall, I will definitely continue to use the Hands-Free Collection Cups and recommend it to friends. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for sending me this product to test and review!

As someone who has a VERY active baby, pumping was always a luxury I didn’t really have. Thanks to Stellar Product Testing Panel, I was able to test out these cups and now have that luxury!
These cups are not only easy to assemble, but they’re also super easy to clean. Prior to using these cups I was restricted to my designated pumping area where I wasn’t able to do much of anything. While wearing the cups I was able to do laundry, feed my daughter and clean the house - all things I couldn’t do before. The best thing about these cups??? You don’t need to remove the O-ring each time you clean them! This has been one of the best products to review and needs to be a staple item on every baby registry!

Being a mom to two my hands are ALWAYS full. When I got the opportunity to receive the Hands Free collection cups from stellar I felt such a relief! The fact that I was able to pump and not worry about adjusting the cups as they patched on so well and not having to worry about the possibility of milk spilling if I bent down was such a relief. It was so easy to clean and sanitize as well as transfer to bottle or bag!

A great addition to the Medela brand!

The Medela hands-free collection cups were an absolute game changer! They fit perfectly in my bra and provide a more discrete method of pumping. Each cup has a natural profile of a breast so the shape is not too awkward when using. The cups came with two breast shield sizes (21mm and 24mm) to accommodate different nipple sizes. The cups are very lightweight and do not weigh you down while trying to pump and do things around the house. As an exclusive pumper, this product could be improved if the shields were a silicone based material, rather than plastic, which would help to avoid swelling of the nipples while pumping.
The cups sit flat when placed down on surfaces so the milk will not spill out. At the top of each cup, there is a small opening so it is very easy to pour the milk out of the cups without spilling. They also have a good seal so there is no spillage halfway through a pump session.
This product is extremely innovative. It is great that Medela has add-on products that compliment existing products that people already own. For example, instead of needing to get a brand new portable pump, I can now use these collection cups with my existing Pump in Style breast pump to provide a more portable option for pumping.
The parts can be cleaned with ease and I like how the O-ring on the cups does not have to be removed each time I clean the cups.

Hands-Free pumping at its best!

I received the Medela hands-free collection cups through the Stellar Product Testing Panel and am so grateful I had the opportunity to try this amazing add on! The collection cups were easy to use with my existing Medela pump, allowed me to continue playing with my kids or get household tasks done while pumping, but best of all made clean up a breeze. Cleaning and sanitizing the collection cups is made quick and easy with only 3 parts to be cleaned, ideal for multiple pumping sessions in a day.. or let’s be honest, any amount of pumping, cleaning the collection cups has previously been the worst part of pumping for me! My older son would give these collection cups a 5 star rating as it allowed me to continue to play with him and engage with both hands while pumping, making things easier for all of us. Being a Mum is busy, so do yourself a favour and make things a bit easier with these collection cups!

A revelation on my breastfeeding journey!

Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this breast pump accessory. I'm delighted with these cups, they're really effective and practical! I was pleasantly surprised at how effective they were and how easy they were to use on a daily basis. I use them every day because I work in my office at the university and I use them on my morning break, as well as my afternoon break. I have the Medela Quick Clean Micro-Steam Bags and the two cups fit easily inside, so I don't have to use two bags to disinfect the bottles like I used to. As I have the Swing Maxi cordless breast pump, I can move around my office, and with the cups it's even more discreet! I used to hold the bottles with my hands and had seriously considered buying a Medela bustier before I got these cups. And I'd even thought about giving up pumping because it wasn't very glamorous to walk around with two bottles on my breasts... This is my second baby, my first daughter is 6 and I remember how difficult it was to pump milk for a long time. But these cups changed my project for the better! The cups are easy to assemble, and the fact that there are only 3 clearly identifiable parts makes it simple to separate them and put them back together for the next session. The O-ring insulation works very well, I didn't know that it could be removed occasionally to clean them, but after reading the instructions carefully, I learned that it wasn't necessary to remove them every time. Which is very convenient. My favorite thing about these cups was the way the cups fit easily into a bra. It takes a bit of getting used to the style you have in order to adjust it, but once you do it works like a charm. I would have liked to have a way of closing the cups, at least temporarily, as I've already had the problem of forgetting a container to put my milk in, if the cups could be closed like baby bottles (or with a small accessory, that would have been a plus!). Otherwise, I'm very happy to have them now, and it encourages me to pump milk for my daughter for as long as possible.
