New and improved

I received the Medela collection cups through the Stellar Product Testing Panel, and have been happy with this product.
The collection cups are compatible with my Medela Freestyle Flex pumps. The new cups are improved from the original hands-free Medela cups, thanks to the addition of the O-rings. These help seal the cup to ensure no leaking! I was very happy with this added component. The cups are incredible easy to assemble, disassemble and clean. It’s only 3 pieces, which makes cleanup a breeze.
The cups are also made with flat bottoms so that you can stand them up before the pouring the milk into a bottle or bag.
The hands free cups are amazing and once you use them you will never want to go back to traditional cups! It was so convenient to be able to pop them into my bra (work with any bra in my experience) and go. They are discreet, fit with the shape of the breast, and can be worn in public easily.
I was very satisfied with this product and have recommended it to other nursing moms. These would make a fantastic gift, too!

Way better than bottles

When my son was born I was using a pumping bra and bottles and absolutely dreaded pumping. Despite having a portable pump, I would just stand in the bathroom to pump because I hated the feeling of walking around with the bottles sticking out of my chest. The feeling of pumping combined with bottles dangling off me was just sensory overload when I was already at my sensory limit with a newborn. So I quit pumping and would just hand-express a bottle here or there when needed. These hands-free collection cups totally changed my relationship with pumping and ability to get a (tiny) bit of time for myself with an exclusively breast fed baby. If I had these from the start it would have been amazing, it actually makes me sad to think about because exclusively breast feeding without bottles is so so hard! Being able to pump without changing into a pumping bra means that I actually am willing to pump when I have a spare minute.
The cup is relatively easy to clean. (Cleaning pump parts is never going to top my list of fun things to do, but the cups are just as easy to clean as bottles). I did have to play around with the cups a bit to figure out how to open and close them easily - there are videos on the Medela site that are quicker to watch than reading the instructions. I also liked that they came with two flange sizes. I've been alternating between the 21mm and 24mm to see which gives better output and it seems like the smaller size works better for me right now. I was given this breast pump accessory to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel but I know how much of an investment pumps and pump parts are (especially since you can't return or resell them) and these cups are totally something I would recommend to friends or buy again.

Allows for more privacy while pumping

The hands free collection cups made pumping much more discreet as the pumps fit right in your pumping bra and allow you to wear a shirt over it while collecting milk. They were easy to assemble and clean. They were lightweight and fairly comfortable to wear. I think that they are worth the investment for more privacy while pumping. The stellar review panel provided this product for review.

I’m not over-exaggerating when I say these collection cups have changed the pumping game. I bought my pump when I had my first daughter back in 2021 and at the time, I was looking for hands-free collection cups. I did my research but found that, as a larger chested gal, I wasn’t able to find anything on the market that worked well (I read a ton of reviews). To be honest, when I opened this box and saw the cups, I was still a bit hesitant as to how they would fit. Well, I soon stood corrected. These collection cups are AMAZING!
My second daughter is now eight months old and she wasn’t big on bottles, but now that she’s starting to eat purées, I’ve been pumping and adding breastmilk instead of water to her food. On top of that, I am donating breastmilk to a milk bank, so in total, I am pumping 2-4 times a day. These cups have been a godsend! Before, I had to sit and hold the pieces to pump, and it was such a hassle/near impossible to use both pieces at the same time. Even with a pumping bra, I found it would detach from me unless I held it with my hands, so I would just sit for 20-30 minutes at a time and do nothing. I would also have to time it so I didn’t have to do anything (such as feed my kids, change diapers, etc.). Needless to say, it was quite time consuming.Now, I pop the collection cups in any bra and go about my day.
No word of a lie, I’ve been using these every day since I got them. While pumping, I’ve made lunch for my girls, made our beds, played on the floor with them, and most wonderfully of all, sat and enjoyed a coffee (it was heavenly!).
I also have to note how comfortable it is to pump. There have been times I’ve double checked to make sure my pump was still on because there is zero pinching. I’ve also noticed that I get about an ounce more on each side when I use these collection cups compared to the original pieces. When I’m done pumping, I simply pour the milk into a container through the hole in the top and that’s it!
As for cleaning and storing, it could not be easier! I wash all the pieces with warm soapy water as soon as I’m done pumping and sterilize then in my sterilizer once (sometimes twice) a day. Then I pop them in a Ziploc bag to stay clean until I need them. (Note: I know it’s not usually necessary to sterilize that often), but because I’m donating breastmilk, I have to, and so far, the quality of these collection cup has not altered.)
I was given this breast pump accessory to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel, and I highly recommend it to every pumping mama!

Perfect accessory for my pumping journey

I am an exclusive pumper for my daughter. I had the Medela Freestyle Flex and was excited to try the pump with a hands free option. I loved that the cups fit in my bra - I used a sports bra and a regular nursing bra - and that I didn't have to buy a whole new pump to use them. The cups were easy to clean and assemble and I was able to use them while out and about, driving, shopping, and taking care of my daughter, without worrying about spilling any milk! I was able to express the same amount of milk with the cups as with the regular Medela flanges. I wish I had these sooner in my pumping journey, they would have made the first months much easier.

Easy hands free pumping!

I was so excited to receive these cups from Stellar Product Testing Panel!
As a busy mom of 2 little ones it is a bit of a chore to find time to pump, but these collection cups that fit directly in my regular nursing bra are so convenient. I can be totally hands free, and still play with my baby, do laundry, cook dinner all while pumping. I’ve also brought them for when I am out and away from baby and need to pump. I have used them while eating at a restaurant, and while driving home. No one would even notice you’re pumping unless.
I also appreciate how easy it is to clean, just take apart and pop in the dish washer.
I highly recommend these to any busy mom who still needs to fit in some pumping sessions.

Hands Free Collection Cups are awesome

I was given the Medela Hands Free Collection Cups to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I have been using them exclusively ever since. They are much more comfortable than any other breast pump I have tried. The cups attached easily to my existing pump, and fit snugly under my nursing bra. It was awesome to not have to hold the cups while pumping. I folded laundry, wrote emails, read, all while comfortably pumping. The Hands Free Collection Cups extracted about the same amount of milk that my usual pump would extract; I did not notice a difference in volume. I like the pouring spout on the cups, and I only had to clean three parts per cup. I recommend these cups for anyone who pumps, or plans to pump.

Hands free Freedom!!

These cups mean I can pump on the go! No more being stuck in one spot. I was able to baby wear my koala baby while preparing snacks, play games with my older kiddo and get in some extra snuggles while pumping my slacker side.
I love that they are only 3 piece each side to clean. Best of all they can go in the dishwasher! The O ring on these is a great addition. I like that even though it's an extra piece, it doesn't have to be removed to be cleaned. It also gives confidence that it's sealed tight, you can feel it catch and click shut! I have throughly enjoyed testing these for Stellar product testing panel. I can't say enough about these and know I will get many hours of use out of them!
