Hands free cups

I have been an exclusive pumper for all three of my kids now and have to say these collection cups are long overdue! I have always preferred Medela and was excited to try these collections cups when I was offered to try them through a stellar product testing panel. Sanitizing and cleaning is reasonably easy for hands free collection cups and is made quicker with small brushes to fit into the little corners. As with many Medela products it was comparable with my freestyle pump and was a smooth and easy setup/ transition from the regular setup. I found them comfortable and easy to place and honestly is a set it and forget it. I have a very busy toddler so knowing I could walk around and pick up my baby when needed without worrying about knocking the protruding collecting cups has eased my stress and anxiety around fitting in my pumping sessions. It has also been so nice feeling more covered up and can comfortably have a sweater on over the cups for when it’s chilly and I’d like to be more covered up. Of course there are still limitations so try not to bend over too much or jump around as this could cause leaking. That being said I never experienced any leaking at all. These fit nicely and easily in all of my nursing bras so no additional items or accessories needed. The capacity is great, it lists up to 5 ounces though I have collected more and had no issues. Emptying the cups is easy and I love the flat bottom so they can sit on the counter while you get a bottle ready. Overall this is a huge upgrade from having to use the hands free bra/cover and has made my pumping routine so much easier and my toddler has been enjoying getting in some more one on one time together.

Revolution upgrade to pumping life

I received this breast pump accessory from the Stellar Product Testing Panel.
The cups are comfortable to use and fits well within my nursing bras. I use it with my medela freestyle pump so overall it is decently discreet. I mostly pump at home and now I have the freedom of doing it while driving to work, which is a 20 mins saving every morning!
It is easy to wash and assemble, which is critical for a working mom. Less work = less trouble = more incentive to pump.
The only issue I have is the limited flange size. My output is best with a smaller flange size, but medela doesn’t go lower than 21mm. Hope to see more options in the future.

These are good to cycle in to pumping rotation but I do find the leak when removing from the centre and you cannot plug the hole at the top so have to be careful transferring them. You can hold your baby when using them but it takes a couple logistics. I do find they pump well I get the same amount as the freestyle flex. It is also nice you can sit back slightly. I do hold my baby just below my breast when using them

Looses suction after a few uses, tedious to clean and prone to developing mold due to unremovable silicone seal. Would not spend money on this product again.

These cups are great in theory, and convenient for on-the-go pumping. The problem is they don’t work. They completely lack suction, my output is 1/2 of what it is when I use the standard Medela system. Cups fog up so you can’t see your nipple or milk output. They make a mess when you pour your milk out.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
