Hands Free Collection Cups make life easier

As a first time mom, everything about caring for a new human is overwhelming and there is little time left for anything. With the Medela hands free collection cups life is so much easier. The hands free option is a must have when investing in a pumping device. I'm so glad I got to try it out throught the Stellar Product Testing Panel. While pumping, I could easily invest time in ME, which is so important for my mental health.
I pumped and read a book. I pumped and did my manicure. I pumped and I played with my baby on the mat. I pumped and I wrote this review! :)
The cups are well made, and are comfortable to wear, due to their ergonomic design. Nothing hurts while pumping. It's pretty awesome that they collect into the suction cups, and you have left to do is disconnect and pour it into the bottle. Cleaning is a breeze too, which again, is such an important factor, due to time constrains.
Overall, the cups are esthetically pleasing, and very functional. I am so happy to have tried this product out and will recommend it to all my mom friends.

Great Medela accesssory

I received the Medela hands-free collection cups as part of the Stellar Product Testing panel. I have tried many different pumps and styles. Medela, a star in breast pumps, has made a game changer accessory now finally available in Canada. It is an accessory to existing pumps (the newer versions), which means still being able to have the option of using previous pumps. It still does require the pump however, which makes it less portable than true wearable pumps just entering the market here. The upside of this, which is a big one - is that these allow for the stronger pumping force that the true wearables do not. It also means no need for awkwardly attaching the pump through a small hole in uncomfortable pumping bras.
Relatively easy to clean, easy to use, and does not involve learning a new system which is great for tired new moms.

Would definitely recommend, but make clear that these are not true wearable so it makes a great in-between for getting things done on the go. Great product.

Hands free handy pumping

I received these cups through the Stellar Product Testing Panel.
I had previously used another type of pump that wasn't hands-free and will never go back now that I have two sets of collection cups.
The cups are relatively comfortable and pretty easy to use once you get the hang of it. The best part is that they've very easy to clean.
The only downside is that they don't hold enough milk for the early over producing days.

Efficient !

I was given this breast pump accessory to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. These cups have made pumping time SO much more efficient! I have used the Medela pumping bra for the freestyle flex and I love it- but I like how these cups hold the collection cups INSIDE a bra as it feels so much more secure. With these I’m no longer sitting out alone pumping in the car as I’m able to discreetly pump wherever I go. They don’t dislodge or come off while pumping and moving around. I only wish they included an instrument to help with cleaning it since it’s a different sized shape.

Hands Free Freedom

I am not a full time pumper, so I have never been too worried about having to use the pump and bottle attachment, but these have been a game changer! I received these cups through a Stellar Product Testing Panel, and I haven’t used my old pump parts since. I can actually play with my baby and pump at the same time now because there is nothing dangling for her to grab at, and I can cook and multitask while pumping as well. The cups are easy to use and take no extra time to clean, which I was worried about, but I found the whole process easy and efficient. Overall I would highly recommend these cups!

A definite must have…

As a labor and delivery nurse I knew I wanted a quality breast pump and Medela is a brand I knew I could count on.
The addition of the Hands Free Collection cups to my pumping system was a game changer that I wish I had known about sooner.
The Hands Free Collection Cups allowed for easier and more convenient pumping sessions. While I still couldn’t go far from my pump, I was able to easily tend to and interact better with my little one. Before using the hands free system I found I would have to plan out my pumping sessions or make sure my husband was around to help as I really wasn’t able to do much more than hold the pumps in place.
The Hands Free Collection Cups were relatively easy to assemble. Sometimes it would take a bit of maneuvering to ensure it was fully clipped shut, however the lack of suction was always the first clue it wasn’t clipped properly.
Clean up was easy being a simple three piece system which is a bonus for any busy mom.
My only complaint was it could be a bit messy transferring the expressed milk to a bottle as I always found I spilled a bit out of the collection chamber.
Overall I would definitely recommend this product and say it’s a definite must have.

Nice hands free convenience

I received this produce through the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I found them quite straightforward to start using. I had some leaking the first time I used them as I did not have them properly sealed but this was easily rectified - I would encourage trying them out at home first and not in public for this reason. The hands free capability was a nice convenience and has allowed me to pump more on the go around the house. I also did bring them to attend my sister's wedding which allowed me to be more available for maid of honour duties. Of note the cups are quite large and are not subtle when placed in my bra but overall they are a great addition to my other pumping supplies.

Medela Hands Free Collection Cups

I currently have the Medela freestyle hands-free breast pump with a different style of collection cup that I purchased in early 2023. I received these collection cups as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel and they are smaller, and have a removable O-ring which allows the cups to fit tighter to the breast. I don’t see a significant increase in the milk extracted but they do seem to form to the breasts better. The positive is that there are only three parts to wash, and that you don’t have to remove the O-ring every time and wash them. I love that I can get things done around the house while pumping, however they do make it difficult to carry baby while they’re on (as with any hands free pump).
The only thing I was disappointed in was the flow when emptying the cups into bottles. The original style seems to empty much better. With these, the milk starts to pour out and then stops half way and I have to shake them aggressively to get the rest out. I do still recommend these collection cups and I manage to get about 4oz most times!
