Stunning machine! Coffee was always warm, never hot. Lid doesn’t open all the way to pour the water in. Plastic pieces inside. Stopped working completely after 2 years! This machine was adored and always washed by hand. Never again. I bought two coffee makers (one for a gift) , 2 toasters (one for a gift), and one kettle from smeg. Extremely disappointing with the money spent.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
